8th UEM Congress deliberated on the theme “Disruptive Technology and Disruptive Innovation – A Renaissance of this Century” at Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand on August 16 - 18, 2017 .

The 8th IEEE Annual Information Technology, Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference IEEE IEMCON 2017 was held from 3rd – 5th October, 2017 at UBC, Vancouver, Canada.

The 8th IEEE Annual Computing and Communication Workshop and Conference (IEEE CCWC) was organized on 8th to 10th January, 2018 at University of Nevada Las Vegas, USA.The 8th IEEE 2, UEMCON IEEE Annual Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics & Mobile Communication Conference IEEE UEMCON 2017 was held from 19th – 21st October, 2017 at Columbia University, New York, USA

Teachers day celebration at IEM-UEM group.

On 3rd October, 2016 students of University of Engineering & Management (UEM) Kolkata - SPIE & OSA Student Chapter members participated in Student Lecture Series. 11 groups participated with 3 students per group and they gave #presentations on various classical as well as contemporary area like Wave Optics, Optical Fibre Technology, PV technology, LIGO, Li-fi technology, Quantum Computing, Graphene & Carbon Nanotubes, Non-destructive measurement techniques in #engineering, Photodetectors etc. The chief guest was Shyamal K. Bhadra of IICB, Jadavpur University. www.uem.edu.in
