The conference is intended to raise awareness in the society about the recent trends of research and development in the area of Opto-Electronics with particular emphasis on communication engineering with its different kinds. This will encourage students to take up more projects in the relevant area so as to get more intellectual involvement in the said field.

The purpose of this conference is to inform the Scientists and Researchers of this field in India and abroad about the involvement of Students and Faculties in the Study, Research and Development in the relevant field and also to raise awareness among general public to get them involved in different activities in the year 2026 and ahead – an effort to realize the Knowledge Based Society.

Green Computing is the practice of using computers and other computing devices in a way that reduces their Environmental impact. It is also known as Sustainable Computing. In broader term, it is also defined as the study of designing, engineering, manufacturing, using and disposing of computing devices in a way that reduces their environmental impact. The goals of Green Computing include optimizing energy efficiency during the products’ lifecycle, leveraging green energy sources to power the product and its networks, improving the reusability, maintainability and repairability of the product to extent its lifecycle.

The goals of green computing are similar to green chemistry i.e., reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency during the product’s lifetime, the recyclability or biodegradability of defunct products and factory waste.

The Department of CST & CSIT of University of Engineering and Management Kolkata is organizing their “Third International Conference on Advanced Computing and Systems (AdComSys) 2026”, on 26th – 27th June, 2026 at University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata. The Proceedings of the conference will be published by the SCOPUS indexed Springer Nature Book Series: “Lecture Notes in Network and Systems (LNNS)”.
