Mission: Setting up a sensor and actuator research Centre is an excellent idea, as it would allow for the development and innovation of cutting-edge technologies in this field. Sensors and Actuators brings together multidisciplinary interest in electronics & communication, electrical, mechanical, computer science, information technology, biotechnology, physics, chemistry, and mathematics entirely devoted to disseminating information on all aspects of research

Mission: Our mission is to conduct groundbreaking interdisciplinary research, bringing together experts from diverse fields such as electronics, materials science, computer science, and energy engineering. We aim to pioneer innovative approaches for the seamless integration of low-power sensors, addressing the challenges of resource efficiency, sustainability, and performance. Through collaborative partnerships, education, and technology transfer, we aspire to contribute transformative solutions that positively impact industries, communities, and the environment.

Vision: To be a globally recognized centre on renewable energy studies (primarily solar PV) driving innovation and sustainable solutions for a clean and energy efficient future.

Mission: Our mission is to conduct cutting-edge research work and provide comprehensive studies on energy systems, products and technologies. Through collaboration with industry, academia, research institutes etc. We aim to address the various challenges and develop innovative and practical solutions for real life applications. Vision: To unlock the mysteries of the Universe and inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity about the cosmos through space observation, engaging educational programs and research.

Mission: To develop an excellent space observatory that serves as a hub for astrophotography, astronomical research, deep space exploration and educating the young minds. To remain committed to advancing about the understanding of the Universe through the use of advanced telescope(s), instruments and data analysis techniques. By fostering collaboration among scientists, technologists, educators and enthusiasts, we aim to ignite a passion for astronomy and space observation and inspire the next generation of space explorers.

Vision: To be an interdisciplinary research centre of eminence to foster the advancement of intellectual property law and policy. We have pledged to develop an analytical and normative research ecosystem to propose strategic measures in contemporary IP research and beyond

Mission: The CEIPR brings together bright young minds to improve collaborations to address inter alia social, economic, and cultural dilemmas, creating a more vibrant environment:

1. The center will create awareness, collaborate and engage with leading global research centers with similar interdisciplinary trajectories to organize workshops, training programs, seminars and conferences.
2. The center will undertake and pursue legal and policy research with universities and industries with which UEM has MOU and collaboration to foster publication opportunities.
3. The center will assist to generate livelihood opportunities to vulnerable communities, the incubation centers and other relevant university departments with updated research inputs in law and policy.
4. The center will provide the opportunity to faculty members, scholars and students and encourage participation in ongoing/undertaken research projects and consultancies.
5. To develop literature reflecting the recent development in sustainable study and research.

We have pledged to develop an analytical and normative research ecosystem to propose strategic measures in achieving UNSDGs and beyond

Mission:The CSDR brings together bright young minds to improve collaborations to address inter alia social, economic, and cultural dilemmas, creating a more vibrant environment:

Mission: Our Mission is to promote interdisciplinary research on identified aspects of IKS. To promote research addressing the societal challenges faced today in several areas including engineering, mathematics, biological science, astronomy, health, environment, law and sustainable development. To identify scholars locally as resource persons in various relevant areas of IKS. To introduce short courses and special lectures on all aspects of IKS. To involve young students in various IKS activities.

Harnessed with the aim to collaborate with the acclaimed Centres of Excellence par repute, Universities, Schools, and Global Industry Partners, the Centre aims to promote the culture of appreciation and understanding of the diversity and richness of English Language and Literature, culminating critical and creative thinking skills among the learners and the educators in the global frame.

Vision: To be a pioneer in innovation, research, and development in the interdisciplinary area of cyber-physical systems (CPS) and associated technologies.

Mission:

• To design, develop and deploy sustainable CPS in a multitude of domains such as agriculture, mining, healthcare, transportation, school and college education, industrial production and logistics, hazard mitigation, and so on.
• To develop patents and foster incubation.
• To educate and train students, faculty, industry personnel, and public about the emerging area of CPS.
• To develop security guidelines, legal frameworks, and management strategies on CPS in various domains of application.
• To promote translational and interdisciplinary R&D on CPS amongst various departments and centers in UEM-IEM.
• To collaborate with leading national and global industry and R&D centers on CPS.
• To align with the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems.

Centre Director: Prof. (Dr.) Anjan K. Ghosh

Vision: The vision of the proposed CCoE is to reduce vulnerability in our national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in cyber defense and producing professionals with cyber defense expertise for the Nation

Mission: The mission of the proposed CCoE is to contribute to meeting the nation’s cybersecurity defense research and education needs. To this end, CCoE would work towards pursuing new funding opportunities in cybersecurity research and education. The goals of CCoE are to:

1. Lead and advance cybersecurity research at UEM, and at national and international levels.
2. Serve as UEM’s hub for interdisciplinary research in cybersecurity. Organize International conference, workshops, and scientific meetings with all stakeholders including UEM faculty members, staff, and students, other Universities, and industry and government representatives.
3. Collaborate with related industries to enhance knowledge about the growing industry needs in cyber security and work towards the establishment of Industry Institute Partnership programs.
