B.Tech in Biotechnology
Course Overview
Students are prepared to work in the bioscience, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Food industry. Potential employers include biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, as well as laboratories Beverages industry. The Department offers undergraduate program (B.Tech. Biotechnology). The syllabus of the program covers the latest developments in the respective streams and designed based on market needs so that employability can be improved. The other major priorities include developing entrepreneurship skills and grooming students to become future scientists for the development of mankind.
The course is AICTE approved.
Eligibility and Mode of Selection
- 70% Marks (Best of Five) in class 10th and 12th
- Must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and maths as compulsory subjects in class XII

- 1st Semester: Rs 91,200/-
- All other Semesters: Rs 70,000/-
- Payments to be made by demand draft in favour of “University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata”payable at Kolkata.
