DEBATE COMPETITION

Communication is a fundamental need for human beings to sustain in the world. Having good communication skills play a major role in developing the overall personality or to make a person successful. Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel & share their different opinions. It can be favorable towards the topic or it can be non-favorable also.. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalleled.
The importance of debate can be easily analyzed if we focus on its benefits. Participating in debates build up the confidence of the students to speak to people in public, develop critical thinking, how to think and communicate under pressure, as they have gone through the arguments in their lives. Having a clear mindset is very essential , because it enables us to think to a greater extent and debate broadens thinking capacity.
Department of Law (IIIJS) of University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata is going to organize a “DEBATE COMPETITION” for the students of 6th semester at our University Campus.
