Faculty Achievements

• Prof. Somnath Hazra has undertaken Short Term Training Programme on ‘Refresher Course on Structural Analysis and Design using STAAD.Pro Software with an Introduction to Foundation Design’ organized by NITTTR, Kolkata
• Prof. Somnath Hazra, Prof. Swarnabha Acharyya and Prof. Y. Swati Lakshmi has attended the Faculty Development Program organized by NITTTR, Kolkata.

Student Achievements

• 15 students judged various Durga puja pandals as a part of ‘ABP Ananda Surokkhar Puroshkar Awards 2018’
• On Feb 2017, final year student, Subham Roy has undergone two workshops, one Bridge Design workshop and another on Earthquake Resistant Design organized by Texel Group at Megalith’17, IIT Kharagpur
• Final year students made a working hydraulic model of Bascule Bridge and presented it in IEM INNOVACION held on 5th March, 2017.
• In June 2018, 4th year students published a research paper at International Journal of Technical Innovation in Modern Engineering & Science (IJTIMES)
• Best paper award received by final year student Subham Roy in OPTRONIX 2016, jointly organized by IEM and UEM Kolkata
