IEM-UEM Group's First Event in Microsoft, Gurugram
IEM-UEM Group's First Event in Microsoft, Gurugram UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter organised IEM-UEM Group's First ever event in Microsoft Office, Gurugram. The event brought together students from all across the country and professionals from companies like Airbnb, MakeMyTrip, HelloMedia, and ReSkill. The event featured an interactive Ice-Breaker round, insightful discussions, and networking opportunities, keeping attendees engaged throughout. Our student Alok Agarwal conducted a session on "Prompt Engineering" and Piyush Kr Rai conducted a session on "Using AI to Code Efficiently" equipping participants with AI-driven development skill. A Web3 and Blockchain quiz was also conducted. They also cleared participants' doubts regarding Hackathons and talked about "How to win Hackathons". Students also connected with past AceHack participants, discussing Rajasthan's Largest Student-Run Hackathon happening at UEM Jaipur on 8th-9th March, and collected registrations for the upcoming hackathon. Our students continue to set benchmarks in academic and extracurricular domains, winning accolades at prestigious competitions across the country. This week, UEM Jaipur proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements of its students: Robowar Champions: Yogesh Taparia, Sumit Lamba, and Soham Wadekar secured the 1st prize in Robowar (a battle of self-designed robots) at IIT Ropar. Coding Excellence: Vishnu Singh and Balram Kulhari won the 3rd prize at the Code for Bharat Hackathon, hosted at Microsoft Office, Gurgaon. Multiple Victories Across India: Several UEM Jaipur students, including Tejas Kharkar, Ashish Kumar Jha, Manmohan Singh, Himanshu Jangid, Mayank Sharma, Rajput Yashu, Divyansh Sachdev, and Mohit Raj, achieved significant wins in competitions held at NIT Srinagar, SLIET Punjab, RGIPT UP, and JECRC Jaipur. Campus Placement Success: The university proudly celebrates the placement of its final-year students at Metacube Software as IT Developers, with an impressive starting salary of ₹6.5 LPA. The recruited students include Soumen Pal, Anushree Agarwala, Avinash Kumar Mehta, Aman Sharma, Sourabh Chhipa, Debabrata Maity, Anurag Kumar, Swayam Khatter, Shanu Aaryan, and Gopendu Manna. Leadership in Event Management: Our students successfully volunteered in organizing a Teachers’ Award Program for school educators, further demonstrating their leadership and organizational skills. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur is proud to share the successful completion of an Industrial Visit to the SAS Delhi office by our students enrolled in the SAS Collaboration Program. This visit was a significant milestone in our ongoing industry-academia partnership with SAS, designed to connect classroom learning with real-world applications in the dynamic field of Data Analytics. During the visit, students had the unique opportunity to attend multiple keynote sessions led by SAS experts, covering: Hands-on tools and technologies Real-world case studies and insights Advanced topics in analytics and business intelligence The students were guided and mentored throughout the visit by our esteemed faculty members, Prof. Jyoti Anand and Prof. Soumya Sen. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur was honoured to host the inspection team from GHRDC (Global Human Resource Development Centre)—a prestigious ranking body for BCA, MCA, and Engineering programs. The expert panel from GHRDC comprised: • Ms. Mekhla Sinha • Ms. Aradhana The day began with a Central Presentation, where our respected Registrar Sir elaborated on key institutional strengths such as internship opportunities, startup culture, national rankings, patents filed, IIC activities, impactful publications, and funding achievements. Following the presentation, the GHRDC team visited the key academic facilities across both Academic Block 1 (Engineering Departments) and Academic Block 2 (BCA & MCA Departments), exploring state-of-the-art facilities like the GSS Lab, Solar Lab, Mechanical Workshop, Central Library, Innovation Lab, IoT Lab, and Antenna Lab. Each Head of Department proudly showcased their department’s highlights—from hands-on industrial training and notable publications to strong alumni networks and multiple placement offers. The GHRDC panel expressed appreciation for the sincere efforts of our faculty, the collaborative spirit of the departments, and the continuous support from the university management in fostering academic and professional excellence. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur was honored to be invited to the prestigious Two-Day Workshop on the “National IP Yatra Program”, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, held on March 28–29, 2025, at Hotel Shakun, Jaipur. The workshop focused on “Intellectual Property Rights: Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, and Geographical Indications,” and brought together key stakeholders to foster awareness and understanding of IPR in India. Distinguished Guests included: • Sh. V. Saravana Kumar, IAS, Secretary, DST, Government of Rajasthan (Chief Guest) • Sh. Gaurav Joshi, Joint Director, MSME, Jaipur (GoI) (Guest of Honour) They emphasized the importance of patents and copyrights, the reimbursement schemes available for IPR-related expenses, and the significance of the IPR-TT Cells initiated across 100 selected institutions by DST and AICTE, Govt. of India.
