Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti

Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti is the Chancellor of University of Engineering & Management. He is the recipient of the IETE Gold Medal for highest contribution to Indian Industrial Electronics. He is a teacher in Engineering & Management and is an alumni of IIT, Kharagpur.


Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee

Vice Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. A co-founder of the university, it has been recognized as the topmost educational institute in North-India in the Institution’s Innovation Council rankings by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, for the years 2021 and 2022.

Dr. Chatterjee specializes in Nano-Science and Nano-Technology. His research interests extend to Computer Vision and Speech Processing, and he has made significant contributions to the field of Applied Robotics, with 36 SCI International Journal research papers to his credit. He has engaged in collaborative research with the National University of Singapore (NUS), contributing to the development of some of the first embedded system robotic platforms.

In his administrative role, Dr. Chatterjee has implemented the Choice Based Credit System in the different university syllabi in India.

He is a recognized speaker in QS (world ranking) India Summits, and he engages in various media channels and prestigious platforms to share his insights on academics.

He has received awards from the Govt. of Rajasthan for generating one of the highest number of employments in the state through collaborations between institutes and industries, as well as recognition from the “Institution of Engineers” for his Engineering Services to Society.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Chatterjee is involved in social ventures, advocating for causes like Adult Literacy and children’s education. As a leading Rotarian in the Rotary Club, he contributes to provide free basic education to 15000 individuals across 25 villages in the country. His commitment to research, education and societal impact reflects a multifaceted and impactful leadership role in the academic and social spheres.


Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma

Registrar
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar and Provost of University of Engineering & Management, Jaipur is a Professor of Physics with more than 28 years of teaching experience. He is recipient of many awards and accolades in his long teaching career like “Best Academic Leader of the Year Award (Higher Education)” , “Best Registrar of the Year Award”, “National Eminent Academic Leader Award” from International Institute of Organized Research (I2OR), Ministry of MSME, Government of India, “Outstanding Teacher for Excellence” award in academics by Institute for Technical and Scientific Research Foundation, “Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar ” from Centre for Education Growth and Research.
His academic profile has been selected in “100 Eminent Academicians of 2021” by International Institute of Organized Research, Ministry of MSME, and Government of India. Dr. Sharma is also a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education. He is a member of ISTE, IEEE and many other technical and professional bodies. He is reviewer and board members in many of the renowned international journals like Science Publication, SPIE journals and Kuwait journal of Science. He has published 18 Patents, 14 research papers and 12 books. Dr. Sharma is Director of School of Engineering, UEM Jaipur, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and president of Institution Innovation Council (IIC). He is also Coordinator of AICTE, NBA, NAAC, UGC, NIRF, ARIIA. His vision for the next 5-10 years is to make suitable contribution to develop policies for Education 4.0 and train students for Industry 4.0 so that overall impact of Skill-Based, Outcome-Oriented, Research Based Technical Education can be felt across society.


Prof. Dr. Umesh Gurnani

Controller of Examinations
Dr. Umesh Gurnani is designated as Controller of Examination at UEM Jaipur and also the Nodal Officer for National Academic Depository (NAD) – Digilocker, an initiative by Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) and a mandatory compliance from UGC
Dr. Umesh Gurnani completed his Bachelor of Engineering in year 2006 from University of Rajasthan. With a strong background and Master’s in Industrial Engineering and his Doctorate in the field of “Ergonomics & Engineering Design”, he has been very enthusiastically contributing in Education & Research sector for past 15 years. Since, last 11 years he has been associated with UEM (University of Engineering & Management) Jaipur as a Head of Department in Mechanical Engineering. He has successfully executed ASDC Automotive Skill Development Council programme, NPTEL local chapter, ISHRAE Chapter, SAE Collegiate Club, UEM Motosports Club and mentored more than 60 projects for students of Mechanical Engineering for UG and PG scholars. Under his guidance, students of UEM Jaipur were able to score the topmost ranks in BAJA SAE event & NKRC Go-Kart competition 2017.
His research work is mainly focused on Total Quality Management, Ergonomic Evaluation, Value Engineering & Reverse Engineering. He has an experience of working with corporate Mahindra Satyam Ltd., Hyderabad for initial 5 years of his career as a Design Engineer with an onsite client GE Consumer Appliances, USA. At UEM Jaipur he has also been leading the Placement Cell for 6 years, focused on rigorous training and mentoring of students and placing the candidates for profiles with best future prospects.

Pro-Vice Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, Pro-Vice Chancellor, UEM a premier organization in education sector in India, started many entrepreneurial ventures. He is also Director of Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) and University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata. He was a Project Manager with extensive experience in planning, execution, monitoring, communicating with stakeholders, negotiating with vendors and cross-functional teams, motivating members. He is a Computer Engineer, with extensive research experience while doing Masters in Computer Science. Created groundwork for Industry-University alliance with Nokia and UBC.
