UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING & MANAGEMENT (UEM) JAIPUR and BOARD OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING (NORTHERN REGION), MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Implementation of Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program (AEDP) under National Apprenticeship Training, today on 24th December, 2024 at City Office of UEM Jaipur, Lal Kothi, Jaipur. New Education Policy 2020 emphasises to bridge Education-Employability gap among students. Apprenticeship is tried and tested model to improve employability of students. In accordance with that UGC has issued revised Guidelines for Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) to offer Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program (AEDP) in 2024. Under which HEI are required to offer Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programs (AEDP) for undergraduate level programs with mechanism to industry-academia linkages and outcome-based learning of students. Board of Apprenticeship Training (Northern Region), {BOAT (NR)} Kanpur is providing apprenticeship training to Degree and Diploma holders through National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). In recently released Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) guidelines, NATS has been tasked to work and collaborate with HEIs to implement AEDP. The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is to establish a close relationship and cooperation between the HEIs and industries / establishments to ensure that apprenticeship training component of the students enrolled in AEDP enabled undergraduate level programme is covered under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) which is governed under the provisions of The Apprentices Act 1961 & The Apprenticeship Rules 1992 as amended thereafter so as to meet the below listed objectives of AEDP: 1. To improve the employability of students of undergraduate level programmes. 2. To focus on outcome-based learning in undergraduate level programmes. 3. To promote active linkage between the HEIs and industries/ establishments. 4. Workshop on “Women Leaders: Shaping Academic Excellence for VIKSIT Bharat
The University Grants Commission (UGC) organized a one-day workshop “Women Leaders: Shaping Academic Excellence for VIKSIT Bharat @2047” on 13th December 2024 at Dogra Hall, IIT Delhi. The event marked a significant milestone in empowering women leaders in higher education and aligning academic excellence with the vision of a developed India by 2047. A total of 724 women leaders from various academic roles across the country participated in the workshop. The attendees included directors, deans, heads of departments, registrars, financial officers, and controllers of examinations. Discussions centered around the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its initiatives aimed at promoting gender inclusivity in higher education. Key initiatives included: Gender Inclusion Fund: Promoting equitable opportunities for women in education. GATI: Ensuring institutional growth and gender parity. Vidyanjali Programme: Encouraging community participation to enhance educational standards. The speakers highlighted the importance of women’s leadership in driving innovation, fostering inclusivity, and shaping academic excellence for the future. They learned how HBOT aids in wound healing, tissue oxygenation, and managing conditions like decompression sickness. The session emphasized the integration of cutting-edge technology in physiotherapeutic interventions. Jaipur Physiotherapy Center: Students observed live patient treatment sessions under the guidance of experienced physiotherapists. The exposure included patient assessment, treatment planning, and execution, covering a variety of cases and conditions. This interaction deepened their understanding of rehabilitation principles and the importance of tailoring therapies to individual needs. Learning Outcomes: Advanced Therapeutics: Comprehensive understanding of HBOT and its role in physiotherapy. Clinical Insights: Practical knowledge of patient management and rehabilitation techniques. This visit was a significant milestone in our ongoing industry-academia partnership with SAS, designed to connect classroom learning with real-world applications in the dynamic field of Data Analytics. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur was honoured to host the inspection team from GHRDC (Global Human Resource Development Centre)—a prestigious ranking body for BCA, MCA, and Engineering programs. The expert panel from GHRDC comprised: • Ms. Mekhla Sinha • Ms. Aradhana The day began with a Central Presentation, where our respected Registrar Sir elaborated on key institutional strengths such as internship opportunities, startup culture, national rankings, patents filed, IIC activities, impactful publications, and funding achievements. Following the presentation, the GHRDC team visited the key academic facilities across both Academic Block 1 (Engineering Departments) and Academic Block 2 (BCA & MCA Departments), exploring state-of-the-art facilities like the GSS Lab, Solar Lab, Mechanical Workshop, Central Library, Innovation Lab, IoT Lab, and Antenna Lab. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur was honored to be invited to the prestigious Two-Day Workshop on the “National IP Yatra Program”, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, held on March 28–29, 2025, at Hotel Shakun, Jaipur. The workshop focused on “Intellectual Property Rights: Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, and Geographical Indications,” and brought together key stakeholders to foster awareness and understanding of IPR in India. Distinguished Guests included: • Sh. V. Saravana Kumar, IAS, Secretary, DST, Government of Rajasthan (Chief Guest) • Sh.
