Preparation of HackUEM 2.0 organised by ACM student chapter, Dept of CSE, UEM Jaipur On July 30th, 2024, the University of Engineering and Management Jaipur inaugurated Hack UEM 2.0 with a seminar aimed at first-year students. This event reviewed previous UEMJ hackathons, including AceHack and Hack UEM 1.0. The organizers introduced the hackathon concept and provided details about Hack UEM 2.0. This annual hackathon, organized by the UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with the TechMasters Community, is a 12-hour intensive coding session. Participants will compete to develop innovative solutions in the field of blockchain technology, with support from partners RISE IN and Aptos. Hack UEM 2.0 acts as a preparatory event for AceHack 4.0, offering a cash prize of ₹15,000, along with swags and goodies. Winners will gain direct entry to AceHack 4.0. Participants will also be provided with snacks and refreshments. IC3Com 2024 Conference Summary The Department of computer science & engineering, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, successfully hosted the IC3Com 2024 conference on August 1-2, 2024. The event featured a combination of online and offline sessions, bringing together esteemed academics, industry experts, and researchers to discuss advancements in cognitive and cloud computing. Day 1: August 1, 2024 The first day began with an invocation and traditional ceremonies, followed by welcome addresses from distinguished guests. Dr. Chinmay Chakraborty (General Chair, BIT, Mesra) opened the session online, followed by remarks from Prof. (Dr.) Satyajit Chakrabarti (Pro-Vice Chancellor) and Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee (Vice Chancellor). Key figures like Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed (MNIT), Mr. Subham Chatterji (SAS India), Prof. (Dr.) Soumya Kanti Ghosh (IIT Kharagpur), Mr. Sunil David (T-Hub), Mr. Gaurav Malik (Successive Technologies), and Ms. Kalyani Rao (IELTA India) also addressed the audience. Toast Fiesta, an interactive event for first-year B.Tech students, was conducted today by UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club at E-Cell. The event aimed to engage students through various activities and foster a collaborative environment with the involvement of second-year members. The event featured prepared speech delivered by Toastmaster Sagnik, which was evaluated by the audience, promoting a culture of constructive feedback and improvement. In addition to the speech, first-year students participated in several interactive activities. These included "Picture Puzzle" conducted by Toastmaster Toastmaster Abhishek, an Open Mic Session conducted by Toastmaster Sagnik and Toastmaster Radhika where students spoke on topics of their choice, and "Guess the Quote" that involved active participation from the audience. To incentivize participation and add an element of excitement, goodies were awarded to the winners of the activities. The positive feedback from participants highlighted the event's success and set a precedent for future activities. In conclusion, Toast Fiesta successfully engaged first-year students, promoted public speaking, and fostered a sense of community within the UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club.
