Codesta Coding Club of University of Engineering & Management, Jaipur in association with IIC , IQAC and ACM UEMJ CHAPTER conducted a Workshop on How to tackle CP on 22.08.24 in the Basement Seminar Hall for all students of 2nd year B.tech CSE and AIML . We have done UEM Technical Bonanza on 4 different dates, involving 150 schools from Rajasthan at 4 different places of the state - Jaipur City, Shrimadhopur, Khatushyamji and UEM Jaipur campus. We were happy to be a part in all these 4 places. We conducted 6 different competitions each, in all these 4 places. The events were namely Nirmana (Science Model Competition), Pythagoras Star and Pythagoras Pro (Maths Quiz for class 9, class 10 and for class 11 and class 12 respectively), Tech Art (Technical Drawing competition), Curiosity (General Quiz), Bio-Brilliance (Biology Quiz). 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize were given away event-wise and venue-wise. Also, the Champions School and School Award were given away to the best performing schools in each of these venues. Self Defence Training The Women Empowerment Cell- Dhanika successfully conducted the self defence training for female students today. The training was provided by Mr. Martial Vout, who is a reputed swiss security advisor and trainer who has been training Instinctive self defence for more than 20 years. Mr. Ajendra Sirohi, Project Manager of Agragami India ( a Delhi based NGO) was there to help him with his training sessions. The entire session was interactive and conducted in a fun way to make students comfortable with dealing such situations. All students were enthusiastic during the training and learned the techniques to defend themselves in difficult situation. We are organizing this Self-Defence Training workshop today, Sunday, 18th August, 2024 staying from 6:30 PM in the Ground Floor of Academic Block-1, for our girl students, female faculty members and all interested ladies around, by Mr. Martial Vout, Swiss Security Advisor, Bodyguard and Self-Defence Instructor. After training in the US, France and Switzerland, his past work experience includes the protection of varied CEOs, Middle East personalities and actors in Switzerland and other European countries. Besides his different assignments with VIPs, besides his own training and teaching in full-contact and combat shooting, he developed his own method of self-defence and gives classes and workshops to teach women and men about their inner strength. His various books publications include: April 2002: Plus jamais victimes (ed. Michel Lafon, Paris) with Isabelle Alonso, French feminist and writer and Isabelle Mergault, French actress and director. November 2014: I can defend myself (ed. Life Positive, Delhi / Zen Publications, Mumbai) with a foreword from Kiran Bedi, former Governor of Puducherry. March 2019: Autodéfense instinctive (ed. Favre, Lausanne) with a foreword and pictures from Swiss singer Sonia Grimm.
