The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur is proud to share that Dr. Khan, a faculty member of the university, participated in the 7th International Conference on Environmental Geotechnology, Recycled Waste Materials and Sustainable Engineering (EGRWSE-2026). The conference was held from 22nd to 25th October 2026 in Surat, Gujarat. About the Conference The conference was jointly organised by NIT Surat, the Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS) Surat Chapter, the University of Illinois Chicago (USA), and NIT Jalandhar. It brought together researchers, academicians and experts in Geotechnical Engineering from India and abroad. Research Presentation and Short Course At the conference, Dr. Khan attended a specialised short course on “Sustainable and Resilient Engineering: Drivers, Metrics, Tools, and Applications.” He also presented his research paper titled “Application of Artificial Neural Network for Predicting Gas Permeability of Geosynthetic Clay Liners.” Published by Springer His research paper has also been published in Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering by Springer, Singapore, a Scopus-indexed publication series. The trials were held from 22nd to 31st October 2026 at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, Haryana. A Proud Moment for UEM Jaipur Being selected for the Pre-RD Parade Camp trials is a significant honour for any NSS volunteer. Manideep’s selection is a proud moment for UEM Jaipur and an important step towards possibly representing Rajasthan at the prestigious Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. 📻 Mann Ki Baat Live at UEM Jaipur: Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat 🇮🇳 The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Yuva Bharat Unit of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur organised a special live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” on 2nd August 2026, under the theme “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat.” The programme was part of an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, to inspire young citizens to help build a healthier, more responsible and developed nation. The broadcast focused on the importance of a drug-free youth and the role young people play in nation-building: choosing healthy lifestyles, making responsible decisions, and spreading awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Around 240 students joined the programme, reflecting the UEM Jaipur community’s strong commitment to social responsibility, youth empowerment and national development.
