INDIA INTER UNIVERESITY COMPETITION) 20-23 July, 2023 UEM Jaipur Campus It is a matter of immense pleasure that University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR was selected to host and organize an ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY Competition of GATKA (Men & Women) under Association of Indian Universities - AlU, which took place from 20th - 23rd of JULY, 2023 at UEM, Jaipur campus. 6-days industry-ready program on Oracle-DB at UEM JAIPUR A 6-days industry ready program on Oracle-DB, along with cloud Azure is being conducted by UM Jaipur for students of 2024 batch from 24th July to 29th July, 2023 The training started on 25th July, 2023, and important topits such as SOL query, data retrieval, single functions, group by joins, subquery, set operator, managing data, creating tables, managing views, manage user/permissions, and many more were covered in the session. AIIU - AIU 2023 Closing Ceremony of 4 days Men and Women Gatka Competition 2023 at UM Jaipur organized by the Association of Indian Universities and University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR As the curtains draw on the exhilarating four-day extravaganza, the closing ceremony of the All India Inter University Competition Gatka Men and Women 2023 was a resounding success and a testament to the spirit of unity and sportsmanship. Organized by the prestigious Association of Indian Universities (A1U) in collaboration with UEM Jaipur, the event left an indelible mark on the participants and spectators alike. From the 20th to the 23rd of July 2023, the sprawling grounds of UEM Jaipur reverberated with energy as talented athletes from universities across the nation (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Assam, meghalaya, Gujarat etc) showcased their prowess in the ancient and revered art of Gatka. The competition fostered an environment of camaraderie and cultural exchange, promoting not only physical excellence but also understanding and appreciation of diverse traditions and practices. Men and women, side by side, demonstrated their dedication and passion for the sport, breaking gender barriers and proving that determination knows no boundaries. Each competitor's journey was a testament to the countless hours of training, the sacrifices made, and the unwavering support of their respective universities. The closing ceremony was a spectate in itself, where the triumphant champions were honored and accolades were bestowed upon the exemplary performers. Singh Bhullar, IPS officer, president of Gatka Federation of India Mr. Baljinder Singh Toor, General Secretary, Gatka Federation of India and member of world gatka Federation Mr. Shivraj Singh shaktawat, National General Secretary of Ameture Gatka Association Rajasthan Mr. Hardeep Singh, retired Indian Navy officer, Boxing coach, international medalist and from UEM Jaipur Dr. Pradeep Kr. Sharma, Registrar Dr. B.S. Yadav, Director of physical education and Organising Secretary of AllU Along with Chief Guest Mr. Ramlal Sharma, honorable MLA, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of such event in promoting sporting excellence and nurturing the talents of the youth. Also the rewards and trophies were handed over to the winners. The list is given below - Boys Section - 1st position - Punjabi University, Patiala 2nd position - Sri guru granth sahib world University, fathegarh sahib 3rd position - Chandigarh University, Mohali Girls section - 1st position - Puniabi University, Patiala 2nd position - Chandigarh University, Mohali 3rd position - Sri Guru granth sahib world University, fatehgarh sahib. Throughout the competition, the audience was treated to breathtaking displays of skill and agility, leaving everyone in awe of the participants dedication and sportsmanship. The event not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also reinforced the bond of unity and friendship among participants from different parts of the country As the sun set on this memorable occasion, the memories of the 2023. All India Inter University Competition Gatka Men and Women will linger on. The event's success owes much to the hard work and meticulous planning of the organizers, volunteers and the dedication of the athletes, and the unwavering support of the spectators. Glimpses of Foreign Expert Lecture Series organised by School of Management, UEM JAIPUR on the Topic Entrepreneurship - The Mindset, Action & Reaction by Mr. Ram Subramaniam, Co-Founder at My Money Karma, USA. Mr. Ram Subramaniam is a serial entrepreneur and researcher in Entrepreneurship, Finance, and IT. He is specialized in International Business Strategy, IT Strategy, and Fintech entrepreneurship. He operates at the intersection of industry and academia. He offers custom courses in Business, Management, and IT Education: Master's degree in Management from Stanford University GSB and PhD in Entrepreneurial Studies from University of Leicester. He emphasized on the process of starting, developing, and scaling a business, involving innovation, creativity, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions. He also said that activities such as idea generation, business planning, securing funding, marketing, and managing operations are very essential for Management Graduates who want to have their own Startup. The session was very well coordinated by Dr Rahul Sharma & Ms Sweta Pareek, UEM TAIPUR.  

The Codesta Coding Club, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR along with IIC and AMC Student Chapter UEMJ, hosted the " Transforming Ideas into Reality: Unleash the Power of Bubble" workshop at UEM Jaipur on 21st July 2023. It empowered B.Tech CSE & AIML students with valuable knowledge of Bubble for web app development without heavy coding. The event's success was attributed to dedicated organizers and expert instructor, Mr. Prarabdh Chaturvedi, Bubble expert. Participants appreciated the insightful experience, fostering innovation and skill development. Inaugural session of the All India Inter University Gatka Men and Women Tournament organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), hosted by the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR with participants from all across the country - 20th July, 2023. The inaugural session of the All India Inter University Gatka Men and Women Tournament, held at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur on July 20, 2023. The event was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee. In his inaugural address, Prof. Chatterjee highlighted the importance of Gatka as a martial art and its rich cultural heritage. He said that Gatka is a symbol of Indian pride and that it is important to preserve and promote this tradition. He also congratulated the organizers of the tournament for their efforts in bringing together the best Gatka players from all over India. The opening remarks were delivered by the Registrar of the University, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma. He welcomed the participants to the tournament and wished them all the best. He also expressed his gratitude to the organisers of the event. The guest speaker for the occasion was Principal Baljinder Singh Toor, General Secretary, Gatka Federation of India. He spoke about the history of Gatka and its importance in India’s Independence Movement. He also urged the participants to compete in the spirit of sportsmanship and to uphold the values of Gatka. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. B.S. Yadav, the Director of Physical Education and Sports at the University of Engineering and Management. He thanked the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, the guest speaker, and the sponsors for their support. He also thanked the participants for their participation and wished them all the best in the tournament. Prof. Neeraj Gupta, Professor, Department of Architecture, Central University of Rajasthan conducted a workshop on the “Attributes of a True Teacher” at Seminar Hall, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR on July, 07, 2023. The workshop was attended by over 50 teachers. He encouraged teachers stating teaching is a noble profession and to continue the process of learning and grow, and to always make all possible efforts for students progress. The Workshop was organized by the Department of English, under the coordination of Prof. (Dr) Mukesh Yadav and Prof. (Dr) Snehlata Dhaka.
