22nd meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) The 22nd meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, convened on 07.08.24 at 11:00 AM in a hybrid mode. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Director of IQAC, welcomed all members and reviewed the action taken report from the previous meeting, highlighting recent awards that reflect the university’s excellence in education and research. The meeting focused on enhancing the university’s research ecosystem, supporting faculty and student projects, and promoting interdisciplinary collaborations. Updates on the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) activities and patents showcased UEM Jaipur’s commitment to fostering innovation and protecting intellectual property. The implementation of a uniform syllabus across departments was discussed to ensure consistent quality of education. Heads of departments presented their respective achievements, including awards, publications, patents, and future plans. These presentations highlighted the remarkable progress made by each department and their contributions to the university’s overarching goals. The departmental achievements serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for the entire UEM community. Following external members were present: 1. Preparation of HackUEM 2.0 organised by ACM student chapter, Dept of CSE, UEM Jaipur On July 30th, 2024, the University of Engineering and Management Jaipur inaugurated Hack UEM 2.0 with a seminar aimed at first-year students. This event reviewed previous UEMJ hackathons, including AceHack and Hack UEM 1.0. The organizers introduced the hackathon concept and provided details about Hack UEM 2.0. This annual hackathon, organized by the UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with the TechMasters Community, is a 12-hour intensive coding session. Participants will compete to develop innovative solutions in the field of blockchain technology, with support from partners RISE IN and Aptos. Hack UEM 2.0 acts as a preparatory event for AceHack 4.0, offering a cash prize of ₹15,000, along with swags and goodies. Winners will gain direct entry to AceHack 4.0. Participants will also be provided with snacks and refreshments.
