Codesta Coding Club of University of engineering and management, Jaipur in association with IIC , IQAC and ACM UEMJ CHAPTER conducted a Coding Contest on 12.03.24 in the Central Lab (CSE) for all students of 2nd year and 3rd year B.TECH CSE & AIML. Workshop on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design E-Cell students of University of Engineering and Management Jaipur in association with IIC conducted Entrepreneurial Workshop on 07th March 2024 for all students. Main aim of workshop was to educate students about entrepreneurship and differentiate it from traditional business practices. The event commenced with an introduction to entrepreneurship, highlighting the roles and activities of entrepreneurs. One of the engaging activities, "Innoquiz: Uncover the startup secret" , challenged students to identify startups based on their taglines. This interactive session encouraged participants to explore the startup ecosystem and enhance their knowledge about emerging businesses. The event also announced "NIRMAAN" , where students were invited to pitch their business ideas. Selected teams would receive opportunities for incubation and support at the university's Incubation Centre, fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among students. "Decode the Disruption: Start-up Sleuth Challenge" followed, presenting students with puzzles and hints to decipher information about products, companies, and startups. This activity encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for entrepreneurship. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony , recognizing the achievements of participants. Winners, runners-up, and second runners-up were awarded various prizes , acknowledging their contributions and efforts during the workshop. 9th CONVOCATION CEREMONY Today's program of 9th Convocation Ceremony was very successful and well appreciated by all the dignitaries. 16 Gold, 13 Silver and 13 Bronze medals were awarded to meritorious students. Total 317 degrees were conferred during the 9th Convocation Ceremony. In addition two Honoris Causa were conferred to Dr. Ajay Data CMD of Data Group of Companies Rajasthan and Dr. Jernail Singh Anand A Renowned Author and Poet. Chief guest of the program was Shri Kapil Garg Ex-IPS and former DGP Rajasthan. He asked students to be always in discipline and adaptive to new technologies. Vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee, Registrar Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Dean Prof. Dr. Aniruddha Mukherjee and Head of Departments of all the programs attended the Convocation Ceremony. Dr. Mathur is an associate professor in the Department of Physiotherapy in Jaipur National University, with expertise in Shoulder and TM joint. International Conference on Advances in Higher Technical Education (AHTE-2024) The University of Engineering & Management, Jaipur, hosted the two-day International Conference on Advances in Higher Technical Education (AHTE-2024) from February 26th to 27th, 2024. Today 96 class 12 girl students from a school in Sikar visited our UEM JAIPUR university campus. During this, they visited the Innovation Lab, 11 KV GSS Sub Station, Solar Lab, Mechanical Workshop and all other departmental laboratories of our university and learned about the projects kept there. We did these with the help of Professor Samrat Saha, Professor Sougata Banerjee, Mr. Sanjay Das ,Mr. Bhagwan Das and members of the admissions team. "What they don’t teach you in the lab” was the theme of the annual topical meeting of Optica, which was held in Denver USA during 21-25 January this year. Dr. Chandra Prakash from the ECE department of UEM Jaipur attended this annual topical meeting with the financial support from the Optica Foundation. The event was attended by 78 other participants from 30 different countries.
