
University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur successfully conducted the Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting for the Department of English & Humanities on 8th July 2026, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, curriculum innovation, and quality-driven higher education.
The meeting, held at the Dean’s Office, was chaired by Dr. Mukesh Yadav, Associate Dean – Academics & Foreign Relations and Head, Department of English & Humanities, UEM Jaipur.
The University was privileged to welcome Dr. Deepa S. P. Mathur, Head, Department of English, University of Rajasthan, as the External Expert Member. A distinguished academician and renowned scholar, Dr. Mathur shared valuable insights on curriculum design, academic quality enhancement, and the integration of contemporary developments in English studies.
The Board undertook a comprehensive review of the proposed curriculum, course structure, and syllabi for the upcoming academic session, ensuring alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The deliberations focused on strengthening:
Interdisciplinary learning and holistic education
Outcome-Based Education (OBE)
Skill development and research orientation
Communication, critical thinking, and employability skills
AI-assisted language learning and digital pedagogy
Academic writing and contemporary literary studies
The expert member appreciated the Department’s progressive academic initiatives and offered constructive recommendations to further enrich the curriculum in line with evolving national and global educational standards. These valuable suggestions were warmly welcomed and will play a significant role in strengthening the Department’s academic framework.
