University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 15 August 2026 with immense pride, patriotic fervour, and a deep sense of national responsibility.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, setting the tone for a day dedicated to the spirit of our nation. The occasion was graced by Mr. Debabrata Banerjee, Ex-Police Administration, West Bengal, as the Chief Guest, along with Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur, and Dr. Mukesh Yadav, Dean of Academics, UEM Jaipur, as Guests of Honour.
A grand parade featuring more than 400 students showcased discipline, unity, confidence, and the indomitable spirit of our young generation.
Adding colour and emotion to the celebration, around 40 students presented a vibrant cultural programme featuring inspiring speeches, energetic dance performances, and a meaningful drama that highlighted the values of patriotism, unity, responsibility, character, and national service.
UEM Jaipur extends special appreciation to Prof. Rajni for her dedicated efforts in conceptualising, coordinating, and preparing the students for the cultural presentations. We also acknowledge the valuable contribution of Prof. Dipta, Chief Proctor, whose vigilant supervision helped ensure discipline, decorum, and the smooth conduct of the programme.
The inspiring words of the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour reminded the UEM community that true independence is strengthened through education, discipline, character, responsible citizenship, and service to the nation.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. B.S. Yadav, Director of Physical Education and Head of the Department of Yoga, expressing gratitude to everyone whose presence, dedication, and support made the celebration a memorable success.
