Prof. Said Malki

He earned a PhD in Organization & Management, a Master of Science in Economics, and an MBA. He taught a variety of courses in the United States and abroad relating to economics, finance, and business. At SUNY New Paltz, he has been teaching economics courses such as the History of Economic Thought, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, and Economic Development in the Middle East. Dr. Malki is also a faculty at Cambridge College in Boston where he taches finance courses in the Master of Science in Finance Program. Dr. Malki participated in several trainings and workshops at the Federal Reserve Bank and N.Y.S.E. Furthermore, as a member of the Northeast Business and Economics Association and the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines, he published many peer-reviewed articles relating to economics, finance, and management. He became certified in March 3, 2016 as “Chartered Quality Professional (CQP-MCQI Honors) by the Chartered Quality Institute, UK. Additionally, he is a member of member of American Society for Quality (ASQ) and a member of the American Economic Association (AEA).

Over the years, India has emerged as one of the fastest growing economies in the world and an attractive investment destination driven by economic reforms and a large consumption base. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is a pivotal instrument for economic development and bridging the gap between developed and developing nations. Rising economies grant special incentives to attract FDI and empirical literature is replete with studies on the determinants of FDI inflows in India. This talk emphasized on different determinants affecting US Investment on India and the trend of such investment analysis was also  discussed.
