2023 at UM Jaipur organized by the Association of Indian Universities and University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR

As the curtains draw on the exhilarating four-day extravaganza, the closing ceremony of the All India Inter University Competition Gatka Men and Women 2023 was a resounding success and a testament to the spirit of unity and sportsmanship. Organized by the prestigious Association of Indian Universities (A1U) in collaboration with UEM Jaipur, the event left an indelible mark on the participants and spectators alike.

From the 20th to the 23rd of July 2023, the sprawling grounds of UEM Jaipur reverberated with energy as talented athletes from universities across the nation (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Assam, meghalaya, Gujarat etc) showcased their prowess in the ancient and revered art of Gatka. The competition fostered an environment of camaraderie and cultural exchange, promoting not only physical excellence but also understanding and appreciation of diverse traditions and practices.

Men and women, side by side, demonstrated their dedication and passion for the sport, breaking gender barriers and proving that determination knows no boundaries. Each competitor’s journey was a testament to the countless hours of training, the sacrifices made, and the unwavering support of their respective universities.

The closing ceremony was a spectate in itself, where the triumphant champions were honored and accolades were bestowed upon the exemplary performers.

Along with Chief Guest Mr. Ramlal Sharma, honorable MLA, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of such event in promoting sporting excellence and nurturing the talents of the youth.

Also the rewards and trophies were handed over to the winners. The list is given below –

Boys Section –

1st position – Punjabi University, Patiala

2nd position – Sri guru granth sahib world University, fathegarh sahib

3rd position – Chandigarh University, Mohali

Girls section –

1st position – Puniabi University, Patiala

2nd position – Chandigarh University, Mohali

3rd position – Sri Guru granth sahib world University, fatehgarh sahib.

Throughout the competition, the audience was treated to breathtaking displays of skill and agility, leaving everyone in awe of the participants dedication and sportsmanship. The event not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also reinforced the bond of unity and friendship among participants from different parts of the country

As the sun set on this memorable occasion, the memories of the 2023.

All India Inter University Competition Gatka Men and Women will linger on. The event’s success owes much to the hard work and meticulous planning of the organizers, volunteers and the dedication of the athletes, and the unwavering support of the spectators.

Campus Placement Success: The university proudly celebrates the placement of its final-year students at Metacube Software as IT Developers, with an impressive starting salary of ₹6.5 LPA. The recruited students include Soumen Pal, Anushree Agarwala, Avinash Kumar Mehta, Aman Sharma, Sourabh Chhipa, Debabrata Maity, Anurag Kumar, Swayam Khatter, Shanu Aaryan, and Gopendu Manna. Leadership in Event Management: Our students successfully volunteered in organizing a Teachers’ Award Program for school educators, further demonstrating their leadership and organizational skills.
