The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s leading professional association for electrical, electronics, and allied engineering disciplines. Formed in 1963 through the merger of the AIEE and the IRE, IEEE is globally dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. Established in 2018, the IEEE Student Branch at UEM Jaipur stands as one of the most active branches in the Jaipur district of Rajasthan (IEEE Region 10).
A vital extension of the classroom, our Student Branch provides engineering students with an invaluable community of peers, faculty, and industry professionals. By participating in technical meetings, specialized projects, outreach programs, and international conferences, members build a distinct record of accomplishment that sets them apart. Driven by the vision of IEEE’s founders and subsequent stalwarts, the branch actively contributes to the advancement of Computer Science, Electronics, Communication, and Information Technology, supported by a growing community of dedicated student members.
Vision
Our vision is to establish UEM Jaipur as a premier center of excellence in engineering research and innovation by nurturing students who actively shape the global scientific community. We aspire to see our members pursue advanced studies and research at the world’s leading institutions, publish in prestigious international journals, and engineer breakthrough solutions that address real-world challenges for the betterment of society.
Mission
The IEEE Student Branch (STB10055) at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, empowers students by connecting them to the global IEEE community—the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. We cultivate a vibrant ecosystem centered on research, innovation, and technical excellence. Through hands-on workshops, conferences, industry collaborations, and competitions, we equip students to enhance their expertise, showcase their research, and evolve into globally competent engineers and technology leaders.
Objectives of IEEE Student Chapter:
- The primary purpose of the IEEE student branch is to Inspire, Enable, Empower and Energize our student members to enhance their technical interests by providing them a platform to showcase their skills.
- Improving the standard of Technical concepts
- Counselling the students about the emerging new opportunities
- Encouraging and motivating the outside Classroom studies /Workshops/projects/Seminars
- Increasing the student base and corporate membership of IEEE
- To host technical and non-technical activities useful for student communities.
- To promote understanding of the influence of recent technological advancements and developments on the public welfare
- To promote and cultivate state-of-the-art research culture.
The IEEE Student Branch of our college organized a tree plantation drive on [date] to promote environmental sustainability and spread awareness about the importance of greenery. The event took place on the college campus, where students, faculty members, and IEEE volunteers enthusiastically participated.
The drive began with a brief address by the IEEE coordinator, emphasizing the significance of trees in combating climate change and improving air quality. A total of [number] saplings, including fruit-bearing and native species, were planted in designated areas around the campus.
This initiative not only contributed to the beautification of the campus but also served as a step toward fostering a greener and healthier environment. The participants pledged to care for the saplings to ensure their growth and survival.
The event was a great success, reflecting the collaborative spirit and commitment of the IEEE Student Branch to environmental stewardship.
