IIIHM under UEM (University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata) invites all the respected teachers to showcase their culinary skills in much awaited events like last year for the “Teacher Chef Competition”. IIIHM would like to show our sincere gratitude to all the respected teachers’ community of this country, for their utmost dedication and perseverance in keeping the smooth functioning of the educational system in this country during lockdown with undeterred & unscathed way. We all know how challenging it has been to tackle both, the home front as well as keeping all the students systematically updated with their academics and other curricular activities. As we all know that cooking is always a much-needed refresher for many, therefore, IIIHM is organizing a ‘Teacher Chef Competition’ that will be held on 20th of March 2021 (Saturday), where teachers from every corner of this country can participate and show their culinary skills by preparing the finest dishes and at the same time also promote the hospitality industry among the aspiring hoteliers. ‘THERE IS NO COST REGISTRATION’ and to encourage all the teachers who are actually chefs at home can win attractive cash prizes. Toycathon 2021; a Hackathon to crowd source innovative ideas for the Toys and Games based on Bharatiya history, civilization, ethos, and culture was launched by Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Hon’ble Minister of Education and Smt. Smriti Irani, Hon’ble Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles. Toycathon 2021 is organized by the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education with support of AICTE, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Toycathon is a novel opportunity for students from HEIs and schools to propose toys and games that will greatly help India develop into a global hub for toys and games and assist our children to understand the ethos and values of Indian culture as envisaged in the National Education Policy 2020. In Toycathon, students of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses are also allowed to enter in teams of at least 3 and at most 6 with up to 2 mentors to guide them. They will participate under track 2 of Toycathon 2021. The winners of Toycathon will have a chance to win total prize money worth of Rs. 50 lakhs.
