National Youth day celebration at UEM JAIPUR
The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR celebrated National Youth Day on January 12, 2024 initiated by National Service Scheme (NSS) and Unnat Bharat Abhlyan (UBA) cell of the University, with the students participating in Extempore competition, Volleyball and Tug of War competition, and blood donation camp. The day commenced with an enlightening Extempore competition, where students passionately spoke on the theme “Today’s Youth for Yesterday’s Youth”, reflecting on the responsibility of the present generation towards societal progress. A thought-provoking discussion ensued, focusing on the significance of National Youth Day and the timeless lessons imparted by Swami Vivekananda. Students engaged in a dialogue, exploring the relevance of Vivekananda’s teachings in contemporary times, fostering intellectual growth and self-realization. The sporting spirit was alive with a vibrant Volleyball tournament and Tug of War competition, providing a platform for students to showcase their athleticism and teamwork. The campus resonated with cheers and camaraderie as participants displayed their prowess on the field. Adding a touch of altruism, students actively participated in a local blood donation camp, embodying the spirit of selfless service and community welfare.
The event not only celebrated the youth’s energy and dynamism but also emphasized the importance of contributing to society in meaningful ways. The National Youth Day celebration at the University of Engineering & Management, Jaipur, was a holistic blend of intellectual discourse, physical prowess, and social responsibility, fostering an environment of holistic development among the students under the observation of Dr. B. S. Yadav (Program Officer, NSS) and Prof. Dipta Mukherjee (Co-ordinator, UBA).
