Dear all We are thrilled to announce that the Hands-on Workshop on Shoulder Dysfunction: Assessment and Management by resource person Dr Himanshu Mathur held on 28th February, 2024 was a resounding success! Dr. Mathur is an associate professor in the Department of Physiotherapy in Jaipur National University, with expertise in Shoulder and TM joint. A total of 60 students participated from BPT 4th, 3rd, and 2nd year actively participated and gained valuable insights. International Conference on Advances in Higher Technical Education (AHTE-2024) The University of Engineering & Management, Jaipur, hosted the two-day International Conference on Advances in Higher Technical Education (AHTE-2024) from February 26th to 27th, 2024. Distinguished professors, including Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed from MNIT, Mr. Dinkar Sharma from the Department of Education, and Dr. Somenath Chakraborty from West Virginia, USA, graced the inaugural session on February 26th, 2024. Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice Chancellor, UEM Jaipur, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur, and Prof. (Dr.) Aniruddha Mukherjee, Dean-Academics, UEM Jaipur, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries by presenting conference mementos. The conference provided a valuable platform for students to present their research findings and engage in discussions, fostering knowledge enhancement. Today 96 class 12 girl students from a school in Sikar visited our UEM JAIPUR university campus. During this, they visited the Innovation Lab, 11 KV GSS Sub Station, Solar Lab, Mechanical Workshop and all other departmental laboratories of our university and learned about the projects kept there. We did these with the help of Professor Samrat Saha, Professor Sougata Banerjee, Mr. Sanjay Das ,Mr. Bhagwan Das and members of the admissions team. "What they don’t teach you in the lab” was the theme of the annual topical meeting of Optica, which was held in Denver USA during 21-25 January this year. Dr. Chandra Prakash from the ECE department of UEM Jaipur attended this annual topical meeting with the financial support from the Optica Foundation. The event was attended by 78 other participants from 30 different countries. INDUSTRIAL VISIT Today the students of BPT 4th year visited “SYNERGRY ARTIFICIAL LIMB CENTRE”, Jaipur. The students learned about various orthotic and prosthetic devices used in different patient conditions. They also visited the workshop where they saw how these orthotic and prosthetic devices are made. Prior to that they also had a live hands on patient experience where they were taught how to take specific measurements to customise the devices as per patient needs. Overall the students enjoyed a lot and learned the practical skills necessary for their future career. The faculty coordinators Dr. Neha Vyas (Associate Professor) and Dr. Madhu Teotia (Assistant Professor) organised this visit for the students and went along with them to the center. Mr. Anuj Sethi also coordinated along with the faculties to make this visit successful. INDUSTRIAL VISIT WPC Project of Wind Power India Limited I am pleased to inform you that on 23/02/2024, Electrical Engineering Department in association with IIC and Green Club organised an Industrial Visit at WPC Project of Wind Power India Limited Sikar. A total of 44 students of core departments EE/ME/CE visited to WPC Project of Wind Power India About the site: This site is located at the top of the Harsnath hill and farm was established in 2004 and is approximately 14 km from Sikar town in Rajasthan, India. A 7.2 MW wind power plant is situated at the height of 900 m above sea level, and its latitude is 27°31'0.7” N and longitude is 75°11'0.2” E. The Project harnesses renewable resources in the region, thereby displacing non-renewable natural resources and ultimately leading to sustainable, economic, and environmental development. The project will establish a cluster of sophisticated, Enercon E-40 make, Wind Energy Generators of 0.6 MW (7 Nos.) capacities aggregating to a total installed capacity of 7.2 MW in Harsh Village of Sikar District. The generated electricity is wheeled to the nearest grid sub-station through a 33 kV supply line and fed into the grid after stepping up to 132 kV. The purpose is development, design, engineering, procurement, finance, construction, operation, and maintenance of wind power project of 7.2 MW in the Indian state of Rajasthan to provide reliable, renewable power to the Rajasthan state electricity grid. For Harsh, Sikar, various combinations have been obtained of wind systems with wind turbines, generator, batteries, grid and convertors from the homer Optimization simulation. Overall, the students enjoyed a lot and learned the practical skills necessary for their future career.
