University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur presents Technical Charcha with Toastmasters: A Celebration of Intellect and Oratory organizer: UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club On September 15, 2024, UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club hosted an electrifying event titled "Technical Charcha with Toastmasters." The Board Room of Academic Block 1 buzzed with excitement as 56 participants engaged in spirited Toast Quiz and Tech Debate. Toast Quiz: A Test of Technical Wit The Toast Quiz segment brought an exciting challenge to 56 enthusiastic participants. The quiz not only tested the participants' technical expertise but also their ability to think quickly under pressure, adding an electrifying dimension to the event. First position: Arghyadip Adhikary (B.Tech 2nd year) Second position: Prithwiraj Das (B.Tech 2nd year) Third position: Roshan Sharma (BPT 2nd year) Tech Debate: A Battle of Minds The Tech Debate segment set the stage ablaze with intellectual discourse, as eight teams locked horns in verbal combat on topics related to emerging technology and current scenario. First position: Team Nanak Vinay Choudhary (MBA 1st year) Tanmay Sharma (MBA 1st year) Second position: Team Kabir Nistha Bhura (B.Tech 3rd year) Sayantani Dey (B.Tech 2nd year) Tanisha Jangid (B.Tech 2nd year) Third position: Team Kalidasa Arghyadip Adhikary (B.Tech 2nd year) Prithwiraj Das (B.Tech 2nd year) Aman Kumar (B.Tech 1st year) Position holders are awarded with certificates, medalsand exciting prizes. E-certificates are provided to all the participants. The event was concluded leaving participants inspired and intellectually invigorated. This gathering of minds proved to be a testament to the power of technical discourse and public speaking. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur presents BUG-BUSTERS - Debug and Conquer | Fix Bugs in Existing Codebases! On 15th September 2024, the UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter and GDG On Campus, in collaboration with IIC and IQAC, came together to host the highly anticipated BUG-BUSTERS - Debug and Conquer during TECHUTOPIA 2024. The event, held in the Central Lab of the CSE Department from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, was a thrilling opportunity for students to test their coding and debugging skills in a competitive setting. The Competition: The event was divided into two rounds that challenged participants to detect and resolve bugs in existing codebases. In Level 1, participants needed speed and precision to advance. The stakes were raised in Level 2, where the complexity of bugs increased, pushing participants to demonstrate advanced coding techniques and problem-solving strategies. Esteemed Judges and Special Guests: The event was judged by Prof. Soumen Sarkar and Prof. Gaurav Ganguly, who carefully assessed participants’ solutions based on accuracy, efficiency, and coding approach. Adding to the prestige of the event was the presence of Prof. Dr. G Uma Devi, Associate Dean of Engineering and Head of the CSE Department, and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Dash, both of whom inspired students with their insightful words. Celebrating the Winners: After an intense and exciting competition, three standout participants emerged victorious: - 1st Position: Pushkar Gupta (1st Year B.Tech) - 2nd Position: Pulkit Kumar Verma (3rd Year B.Tech) - 3rd Position: Keshab Bharadwaj (2nd Year B.Tech) The winners were awarded cash prizes, certificates, and medals to honor their impressive skills and perseverance throughout the competition. The event was designed to promote to provide a platform for robot enthusiasts to compete at a high level. Round 1: Teams competed in matches to secure their spot in the second rounds. Round 2: The top teams played in a strategic manner with dynamic strategic and evolving tactics. Final Round: The finalists faced off in intense championship matches, where only one team could emerge victorious followed by 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner up. The new batch of students officially began their academic journey on 15th July 2026. The students received a warm welcome from UEM Jaipur's faculty members, distinguished government officials, and esteemed industry leaders, reflecting the university's strong commitment to academia-industry collaboration. Adding a unique technological touch to the induction, "Veda", the humanoid robot developed by UEM Jaipur students, along with other robots created at the university, greeted the freshers and assisted them in locating their classrooms and navigating the campus. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur successfully conducted the Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting for the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering on 6th July 2026 at the UEM Jaipur campus, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and industry-aligned education. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Prashant Ranjan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, who welcomed the distinguished Board members and faculty participants. The primary objective was to review and further strengthen the department's curriculum in line with emerging technologies, evolving industry requirements, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles. The University was privileged to receive valuable insights from eminent external academic experts: Prof. (Dr.) Tarun Varma, MNIT Jaipur Prof. (Dr.) Amit Mahesh Joshi, MNIT Jaipur Following comprehensive deliberations, the Board approved the proposed curriculum and appreciated the Department's academic framework for its strong alignment with current industry expectations, technological advancements, and future-ready learning outcomes.
