The Inter College Quiz Competition held at UEM Jaipur on September 7, 2024, was a significant academic event that saw participation from top universities in Jaipur. Six teams competed, including those from notable institutions like Jaipur National University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Jagannath University, and Suresh Gyan Vihar University. The quiz fostered healthy competition and intellectual engagement among the students, covering various topics to test their knowledge and teamwork. UEM Jaipur emerged victorious, securing first place, demonstrating their academic excellence. Jaipur National University took the second position, while Suresh Gyan Vihar University came in third, highlighting the competitive spirit of all teams involved. The competition was organized with great coordination, under the leadership of Dr. Imran Khan, who served as the Faculty Coordinator. His role ensured the smooth execution of the event, along with Rakesh Choudhary, the Student Coordinator, who managed student participation and logistics. Additionally, transportation for the participants was provided by the university, ensuring accessibility for all. The competition, organized by The Motion Masters Club. The winners were awarded medals and certificates by Professor Hriday Banerjee, acknowledging their hard work and success. At UEM JAIPUR, our students organize national hackathons every year, where ethical hackers from Kashmir to Kanyakumari come to our University and participate in 24-hour hackathons, developing products in line with the industry requirements. This time, they conducted an in-house hackathon for preparing our own University future teams with their juniors and fresher students, with the name Hack UEM. This 12-hour in-house hackathon centered around blockchain technology, and saw participation from over 375 students, spanning various streams like B.Tech (CSE and AIML) and BCA, with teams competing to develop innovative blockchain solutions. Industry experts participated as mentors, offering hands-on guidance to the students. The event was organized by the ACM Student Chapter of UEM Jaipur, and provided a total prize money of Rs. 15,000. A special bounty of $30 was offered for full-stack blockchain projects. Resource Person: Ms. Srishti Saini Designation: Project Engineer and Trainer: AI/ML Company: Frontline Softech Private Limited Main points covered in the workshop: Journey into AI and ML: Ms. Saini shared her unique transition from Civil engineering to AI and ML, providing insights into her inspiring journey. She recounted her valuable experiences working with scientists at the CSIR-CRRI lab. At just 25 years of age, Ms. Saini is doing a commendable job by pursuing PhD at CSIR-CRRI, specializing in the Application of AI for Road Safety. Alongside her doctoral studies, she works as a Project Engineer in AI-ML and a Trainer at Frontline Softech Pvt. Ltd., Noida. The idea is to develop a comprehensive AI-driven driver monitoring system adaptable to commercial fleets, ride-sharing, logistics, and private vehicles to enhance safety and reduce accidents. Market Focus: Deploy an AI-powered drowsiness detection solution for trucking, public transport, and logistics to proactively prevent accidents and improve safety. Scalable Product: Create a compact, cost-effective device or software that uses sensors, cameras, and AI to monitor driver behavior in real-time, alerting drivers or fleet managers to signs of fatigue or distraction. Expand Beyond Drowsiness: Develop a suite of AI-based safety features—like lane departure warnings, collision alerts, speed monitoring, and pedestrian detection—to create a comprehensive road safety platform.
