The University Grants Commission (UGC) organized a one-day workshop “Women Leaders: Shaping Academic Excellence for VIKSIT Bharat @2047” on 13th December 2024 at Dogra Hall, IIT Delhi. The event marked a significant milestone in empowering women leaders in higher education and aligning academic excellence with the vision of a developed India by 2047. A total of 724 women leaders from various academic roles across the country participated in the workshop. The attendees included directors, deans, heads of departments, registrars, financial officers, and controllers of examinations. Discussions centered around the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its initiatives aimed at promoting gender inclusivity in higher education. Key initiatives included: Gender Inclusion Fund: Promoting equitable opportunities for women in education. GATI: Ensuring institutional growth and gender parity. Vidyanjali Programme: Encouraging community participation to enhance educational standards. The speakers highlighted the importance of women’s leadership in driving innovation, fostering inclusivity, and shaping academic excellence for the future. Industrial Tour Report Date: December 9, 2024 Participants: BPT 2nd-year students Purpose: To provide students with practical exposure to advanced therapeutic modalities and real-world patient care practices. They learned how HBOT aids in wound healing, tissue oxygenation, and managing conditions like decompression sickness. The session emphasized the integration of cutting-edge technology in physiotherapeutic interventions. Jaipur Physiotherapy Center: Students observed live patient treatment sessions under the guidance of experienced physiotherapists. The exposure included patient assessment, treatment planning, and execution, covering a variety of cases and conditions. This interaction deepened their understanding of rehabilitation principles and the importance of tailoring therapies to individual needs. Learning Outcomes: Advanced Therapeutics: Comprehensive understanding of HBOT and its role in physiotherapy. Clinical Insights: Practical knowledge of patient management and rehabilitation techniques. Professional Development: Enhanced appreciation for real-world physiotherapy applications and professional conduct in clinical settings. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur has once again set a remarkable benchmark by becoming the first university in Rajasthan and among the first universities in India to commence academic classes for the 2026 admission batch at full strength. The new batch of students officially began their academic journey on 15th July 2026. The students received a warm welcome from UEM Jaipur's faculty members, distinguished government officials, and esteemed industry leaders, reflecting the university's strong commitment to academia-industry collaboration. Adding a unique technological touch to the induction, "Veda", the humanoid robot developed by UEM Jaipur students, along with other robots created at the university, greeted the freshers and assisted them in locating their classrooms and navigating the campus. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur successfully conducted the Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting for the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering on 6th July 2026 at the UEM Jaipur campus, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and industry-aligned education. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Prashant Ranjan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, who welcomed the distinguished Board members and faculty participants. The primary objective was to review and further strengthen the department's curriculum in line with emerging technologies, evolving industry requirements, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles. The University was privileged to receive valuable insights from eminent external academic experts: Prof. (Dr.) Tarun Varma, MNIT Jaipur Prof. (Dr.) Amit Mahesh Joshi, MNIT Jaipur Following comprehensive deliberations, the Board approved the proposed curriculum and appreciated the Department's academic framework for its strong alignment with current industry expectations, technological advancements, and future-ready learning outcomes. The expert members acknowledged that the curriculum is well designed to equip students with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to excel in the rapidly evolving field of Electronics & Communication Engineering.
