Prof. Sanchari Basak, Assistant Professor, Department of English and Humanities participated in Power Up 2.0, the Toastmasters Leadership Training Program, held at IPS Business School, Nirman Nagar, Jaipur on 12th January, 2025. She represented UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club. The comprehensive training featured expert sessions by distinguished trainers including DTMs Ankit, Neha, and Sanjan, who shared their wealth of experience in club leadership. The program focused on crucial aspects of club management, including strategies for achieving Distinguished Club Program (DCP) goals and educational pathway goals, effective treasury management, and membership retention techniques. Prof. Basak gained valuable insights into awards and recognition processes, along with innovative approaches to enhance public relations for club growth. The highlight of the training was the interactive sessions on leadership development and club excellence. The event concluded on a high note with an exciting kite festival, where the Toastmasters fraternity came together, fostering fellowship and networking opportunities. AICTE-Approved Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values at University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur The 3-Days Introductory Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Universal Human Values (UHV) commenced today at the University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, with an enlightening inaugural session. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony, followed by the felicitation of the resource persons: * Dr. Piush Sharma * Dr. B.K. Sharma * Dr. Alka Swami (Observer) The introductory address of the FDP was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mukesh Yadav, Associate Dean - Academics, while the welcome address was presented by Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur. A total of 65 faculty members from various institutes are participating in the program, showcasing an enthusiastic response and commitment toward integrating universal human values into academia. The stage proceedings were skillfully managed by Dr. Snehlata Dhaka and Prof. Shivani Saini, ensuring a seamless flow of events. The FDP is being conducted under the meticulous guidance of Prof. Dipta Mukherjee, whose leadership has been instrumental in organizing this impactful program. The FDP aims to provide faculty members with a foundational understanding of UHV, emphasizing the importance of ethics, human relationships, and societal well-being in education. It aligns with the AICTE mandate to enhance the holistic development of educators, thereby fostering a value-based approach to teaching and learning. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur has once again set a remarkable benchmark by becoming the first university in Rajasthan and among the first universities in India to commence academic classes for the 2026 admission batch at full strength. The new batch of students officially began their academic journey on 15th July 2026. The students received a warm welcome from UEM Jaipur's faculty members, distinguished government officials, and esteemed industry leaders, reflecting the university's strong commitment to academia-industry collaboration. Adding a unique technological touch to the induction, "Veda", the humanoid robot developed by UEM Jaipur students, along with other robots created at the university, greeted the freshers and assisted them in locating their classrooms and navigating the campus. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur successfully conducted the Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting for the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering on 6th July 2026 at the UEM Jaipur campus, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and industry-aligned education. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Prashant Ranjan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, who welcomed the distinguished Board members and faculty participants. The primary objective was to review and further strengthen the department's curriculum in line with emerging technologies, evolving industry requirements, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles. The University was privileged to receive valuable insights from eminent external academic experts: Prof. (Dr.) Tarun Varma, MNIT Jaipur Prof. (Dr.) Amit Mahesh Joshi, MNIT Jaipur Following comprehensive deliberations, the Board approved the proposed curriculum and appreciated the Department's academic framework for its strong alignment with current industry expectations, technological advancements, and future-ready learning outcomes. The expert members acknowledged that the curriculum is well designed to equip students with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to excel in the rapidly evolving field of Electronics & Communication Engineering.
