Dr. Tapas Si, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR has been offered complimentary membership to Association for Computing Machinery (ACM, USA), as a token of appreciation for his contributions to ACM community.

The Student orientation programme for the MBA HHM - First year students was held on 1st August , 2023 at 9:30AM onwards at the University of Engineering & Management, (UEM), JAIPUR City Office. The Programme aims to introduce the incoming batch to various academic and extracurricular activities of the university. It was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee (Vice-Chancellor, UEM Jaipur), Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma (Registrar, UEM Jaipur), Dr. Prateek Sharma (Chief Administrative Officer, Shalby Hospital, Jaipur) Mr. Vishal Sharma (Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Shalby Hospital, Jaipur) Ms. Simran (Manager, Shalby Academy) Mr. Aplav Saxena (Anchor and Corporate Trainer), some HODs and faculty members. This Student Orientation is a warm-up session for students before they are ready to hit the ground for their final performance, for a successful career.  

Chief Block Education Officer (Block Govindgarh), Government of Rajasthan is conducting a 12 days training session (from 31st July to 5th August, 2023 and 7th August to 12th August, 2023) for 640 primary school teachers in Basic Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), in the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR Campus. The trainings session started on 31st July, 2023 with the inaugural speech by Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice-Chancellor, UEM Jaipur. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur and Prof. (Dr.) Aniruddha Mukherjee, Dean, UEM Jaipur also addressed the august gathering of more than 320 teachers. Shri Ram Singh Meena, Chief Block Education Officer, Govindgarh Block also addressed the teachers and explain the regulations of the training sessions to all the participants.

Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur delivered the keynote lecture on Top New Technology Trends Emerging in 2023 to discuss the Emerging Technologies and their role in generating more jobs. Prof. (Dr.) Ankit Kumar Sharma, Head, Electrical Engineering, UEM Jaipur and Prof. Jyoti Khandelwal, CSE, UEM Jaipur also participated in the felicitation ceremony of the students.      

Research update: UEM JAIPUR The research work, titled "Artificial Lighting for Plants" by Afaq Ahmad, Sougata Banerjee and Dr. Aniruddha Mukherjee, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR, is published in the Journal of Mines, Metals and Fuels, Scopus Indexed journal. The research work highlights the simulation of a plant growth in absence of sunlight, with the varying light spectrum produced by energy efficient LEDs. Mr. Abdul Rekib Khan, Ms. Gulnaaz Ali, and Ms. Shraddha Mukherjee from the 2024 graduating batch, UEM JAIPUR, have been selected by Technologics Pvt. Ltd for pre-placement offer, starting with internship, potentially leading to the offer, based on their performance during the internship period.

A Robotics workshop conducted under the Induction Programme for B.Tech 1st-year, of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR. Workshop Outcomes: 1. Introduction to Robotics & Robotics Systems. 2. Understanding robotics systems in depth and their applications. 3. Understanding more about microcontrollers. 4. Understanding and developing robotic arms and their applications. 5. Understanding how Arduino, Raspberry Pi and microcontrollers are involved in Robotics. This session was coordinated by Mr Afaq Ahmed, Mr Saugata Banerjee and the team.
