The students of IEM-UEM group have once again won 2nd prize in aQuest 2017 at International HVAC expo ACREX-2017. The was a participation of 25 countries and 500 companies. There were 40,000 visitors. [gallery ids="3772,3773,3774,3775,3777,3778"]

Prof. Indranil Basu, IEM-UEM group has been nominated as the convener of the Computer Engineering Divisional Sub-Committee of the Institution of Engineers, (India). Institution of Engineers (India) is the most prestigious Engineering body of India for the last 150 years incorporated by Royal Charter of British India. CONGRATULATIONS !!! to Prof. Indranil Basu. Two students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata - Riddhi Dutta and Rafi Akhtar have became champions in CodePlay - the Coding challenge at eXabyte - the Technical Festival of St. Xavier's Institute, Kolkata. CodePlay is a standard programming_contest with two participants in a team.

1st year students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata were the finalists in the Sandrover event – Travelling on Sand Robot in Kshitij – IIT Kharagpur Technical_Festival, 2017 The students were:- 1) Adarsh Kumar Singh 2) Md Sadiqueddin 3) Ansika Jaiswal 4) Anoushka Singh 5) Shreesha Pal 6) Riddhiman Mukhopadhyay

Kshitij is the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, one of India’s premier technical institutions. Started in 2004, Kshitij was conceived with the aim to provide the technically inclined youth a national-level platform, where their talent and expertise would be recognized and rewarded.Having grown exponentially since its nascent years, Kshitij receives overwhelming participation from the student community all over the world. Students of IEM-UEM group stood 1st in Research Paper presentation competition at Kshitij – IIT Kharagpur Technical Festival.

Four students from the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata - Sayak Dhar, Sayan Sapui, Mounadeep Poddar, Shankhadeep Kundu have got selected for the quarter final round of India Innovation challenge by Texas instruments and Department of science& Technology, Govt of India. Texas Instruments Inc. in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology(DST) anchored by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and supported by MyGov. This contest is for students from Indian engineering colleges who have a dream to create something new, aspire to make a difference and contribute to India’s success towards becoming an innovation hub.

Mr. Subhajit Dutta Chowdhury, student of IEM-UEM group, former SPIE student chapter President got a direct chance of pursuing higher studies in the world famous Delft University of Technology in Micro-electronics at Netherlands. Subhajit held the post of President of SPIE India student chapter. SPIE is an American organization. It's India chapter at the IEM-UEM group is headed by Prof. Indrani Bhattacharya, professor, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata.  

In the reputed Vidwan portal, the Researchers' Network - the profile, expertise and #achievements of Prof. Dr. K. P. Ghatak has been published. Prof. Ghatak is currently the #Research_Director of IEM and the Dean of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata. He is the author of 10 Springer monograms, the most reputed international monogram of the world. He has published more than 500 research papers in international reputed SCI journals, and has produced more than 40 Ph.Ds from reputed Universities and Central Institutes of the country.
