Yoga Day Celebration at UEM Jaipur On June 21, 2024, UEM Jaipur celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was organized under the esteemed supervision of Dr. B. S. Yadav, the Director of Physical Education and Program Officer of the National Service Scheme (NSS), in collaboration with the NSS and the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA). The celebration commenced early in the morning with an inaugural speech by Dr. Yadav, who emphasized the importance of yoga in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He highlighted the significance of incorporating yoga into daily routines to foster a healthier lifestyle and reduce stress. His inspiring words set a positive tone for the event, encouraging participants to embrace the holistic benefits of yoga. The yoga session was conducted in the ground floor auditorium of the university campus, providing a serene and conducive environment for the practice. The session was led by experienced yoga instructors who guided the participants through a series of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques. The participants, including students, faculty members, and staff, engaged in various yoga poses such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), and Savasana (Corpse Pose), among others. The event also included interactive segments where the instructors shared insights on the philosophy and history of yoga, its health benefits, and tips for integrating yoga practices into everyday life. These segments were particularly beneficial for beginners, providing them with a deeper understanding of yoga and its transformative power. In his closing remarks, Dr. Yadav expressed gratitude to the NSS and UBA teams for their collaborative efforts in making the event a success. DAY 5 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AT UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT JAIPUR 10 June-14 June, 2024 On the fifth day of the Professional Development Program at the University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, the event commenced with a warm welcome for Mr Nand Kishore Yadav, CEO, RNS Group, Jaipur. He delivered an insightful Lecture titled “Future of Artificial Intelligence” The session was a captivating exploration of the Future of Artificial Intelligence, the jobs which will be obsolete because of AI, Humanoids Vs Human Workforce, and Computer vision and NLP in action. He further emphasized on Upskilling and Reskilling. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Umesh Gurnani, HoD of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The subsequent session featured Dr. Amit Parashar, a Neurophysiotherapist. He offered a profound discourse on “Low back pain and Cervical pain” Dr. Parashar elucidated the reasons of low back pain and cervical pain, strategies to circumvent it, and the early symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. He also suggested tips to relive stress-related neck and back pain. Dr. Snehlata Dhaka, Associate Professor of the Department of English, extended the Vote of Thanks to conclude this enlightening session. The day’s proceedings were moderated by Dr. Snehlata Dhaka, Associate Professor in the Department of English, with technical support provided by Prof. Dipta Mukerjee, Proctor at UEM Jaipur. DAY 2 - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AT UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT JAIPUR 10 June-14 June, 2024 On the second day of the Professional Development Program at the University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur, attendees were honored to welcome Dr. Nanda Dulal Jana from NIT Durgapur, who presented an enlightening session on "Exploring Emerging Frontiers in Deep Learning: Neural Architecture Search for Automated Model Design." Dr. Jana's comprehensive presentation covered a spectrum of topics, including Hand-crafted CNN Models, the Importance of Model Architecture in Deep Learning, Challenges in Manual Model Design, Neural Architecture Search (NAS), Search Space and its Encoding, Evolutionary Algorithm-based Search, Performance Estimation Strategies, and the NAS Framework. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, where Dr. Jana adeptly addressed participants' queries. Dr. Anurag Hamilton, Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, delivered a Vote of Thanks to conclude the session. The second session featured Prof. S. Magesh, a renowned technocrat and innovator, who provided an insightful lecture on "Understanding Case Study as a Research Method." Prof. Magesh discussed the significance of case studies, their historical development, characteristics, and various types, supplemented with practical examples from the business field. Dr. Tarun Sharma, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, offered a Vote of Thanks to bring the session to a close. Throughout the day, the sessions were adeptly moderated by Dr. Snehlata Dhaka, Associate Professor in the Department of English, with technical support from Prof. Dipta Mukerjee, Proctor at UEM Jaipur.
