These are pictures of different events held under Connectech - UEM Technical Bonanza at Ranchi Science Centre, Jharkhand, organized in association of Govt. of Jharkhand, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Jharkhand Council on Science, Technology and Innovation (JCSTI) and the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur | Kolkata. This is the biggest Inter-School Technical Competition amongst the top schools of Jharkhand held on 20th January, 2020 at the Auditorium of Science City, Chiraundi, Ranchi. Science students from all top schools of Jharkhand participated in this Technical Bonanza including Oxford Public School, Cambrian Public School, Sarla Birla Public School, St.Xaviers College Intermediate Section, Jawahar Vidya Mandir, DAV Public School Bariatu, Surendranath Centenary School, Central Academy, Marwari High School, St. Jagat Gyan Senior Secondary Public School, Nirmala Convent School, Vidya Vikas Public School Ranchi, Guru Gobind Singh Public School Bokaro, Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Senior Secondary School Dhanbad etc. Sarla Birla Public School, Ranchi exhibited the best performance overall, and was awarded the CHAMPION SCHOOL AWARD by the Govt. of Jharkhand for the year 2019-20. This school will hold the Champion School Title for this year. Students competed in four events:- NIRMANA - Science Model Competition - Classes 9 to 12 TECHART - Drawing Competition - Classes 8 to 12 PYTHAGORAS STAR - Maths and Physics Test - Classes 9 and 10 PYTHAGORAS PRO - Maths and Physics Test - Classes 11 and 12 Students securing First, Second and Third position for each event, were awarded by the Govt. of Jharkhand with prize money, merit certificate and trophy. Participating students also received participation certificate from Govt. of Jharkhand. It was a big and proud moment when the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur handed over the PCB maker machine (a mini-CNC, designed in the Innovation Laboratory of UEM Jaipur by the students) to MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology, formerly WBUT, the state University of West Bengal). It is being handed over by Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice-Chancellor of UEM Jaipur to Prof. Dr. Saikat Maitra, Vice-Chancellor of MAKAUT, in presence of Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, Director, IEM-UEM group. Both IEM & UEM have Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). According to the MoU few actions that may be carried out are :- i) Joint Research Activities ii) Personnel exchange for purposes of study and research iii)Information exchange in fields of interest to academic personnel and students of IEM-UEM & UNLV iv) Academic personnel exchange for lectures, talks, symposiums, conversations and sharing of experiences. We request all our alumni members and current students to take benefits from these MoUs for higher studies etc. We are also inviting any kind of recommendation in the Director's office.

IEEE CCWC 2020 (10th IEEE Computing and Communication Workshop & Conference) was conducted in Las Vegas, USA during 6-8 January 2020 by IEM-UEM group. Students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur make regular visits to Industries and Institutes of National Importance. These pictures are those of one of the visits previous semester on the month of September, by the Mechanical Engineering students of UEM Jaipur to the different laboratories of MNIT. A workshop was also attended by the students at MNIT on this occasion. The workshop was on "Metallurgy for Non-Metallurgist" on 14th Sept 2019. The students learned about basic concepts of metallurgy and got hands on training experience on metallurgical microscope and various foundry equipments.
