After the overwhelming success of the second edition of the Annual Techno Management Festival of University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, we come back with the third edition of the technical extravaganza, URECKON with a view to being BIGGER and BETTER. UEM Kolkata being one of the most promising private institutions of Eastern India, gives you the 2020 edition of URECKON which aims to continue it's legacy of successfully organising 30+ exciting events in an improved way than the previous edition. These events include robotics, hackathons, gaming events, coding challenges, exhibitions, quizzes, B- Plan and many more. Over the span of two years the amount of participation from reputed schools and colleges from all over India and abroad has been our constant source of motivation in giving you a better version. Bidding farewell to Ms. Sofia Magnani, Italy, who took 3 months of classes at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. She was extremely happy with the students of UEM Jaipur, and promised to come back. She also talked few sentences in Hindi with us, which she has learnt during her stay in UEM Jaipur. TRAVEL FROM AUGMENTED REALITY TO VIRTUAL REALITY, DEVELOPED BY UEM JAIPUR STUDENTS:- Students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur have developed this application combining Augmented and Virtual Reality. A virtual palace gets augmented to the real world, and you can walk to enter the virtual palace. After that you can walk inside the virtual palace and have the feeling of being completely inside it. Augmented Reality is the concept where virtual objects get augmented in the video captured of real objects, and virtual reality is the concept where you get the feeling of being completely inside a virtual place and also have the feeling of moving inside it actually. We are happy to see 1st year and 2nd year students of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur actively participating in workshops related to Internet of Things (IOT) and Raspberry Pi and talking about their experience in building their first IOT products using Raspberry Pi. 2nd year students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur - PINAKESH ROY, RONOBRATA PAUL, PRIYANKA BISWAS and SWASTIKA KUNDU (under the guidance of their mentor SHOPAN DEY), have developed this very handy small size (size of a mobile phone) SIGN LANGUAGE RECOGNISING DEVICE. A person unable to speak can carry this device, and convey their statements or messages to another properly speaking person through voice output, jene making the second person understand that sign language. This portable platform can also be taken in use while teaching specially abled students. Also, recognition of objects can be performed by this handy device. At the moment the signs of the alphabets have been trained to the device. However, the device can be trained to understand any word through SIGN LANGUAGE.
