IEM Innovation Lab students (ECE 3rd yrs & CSE 3rd yr) team has entered the Semi-Finals of the ‘DST and Texas Instruments India Innovation Challenge Contest 2017’.

IEM Innovation Lab students (ECE 3rd yrs & CSE 3rd yr) team has entered the Semi-Finals of the ‘DST and Texas Instruments India Innovation Challenge Contest 2017’.
Our proposal was a Smart Helmet acting as a Bike Companion. Over 18000 participants(1831 teams) from 624 colleges all over India submitted their ideas to the contest. Among them 428 teams were shortlisted for the quarterfinals, out of which 55 teams qualified for the Semi-Finals which will be held on 15th and 22nd of April 2017.

Themed “Spanning Innovations in Design of Bridges,” the symposium brought together leading minds from around the globe to delve into transformative topics in structural and bridge engineering, including engineering marvels and the integration of AI in structural analysis. The event featured insightful sessions from some of the most respected experts in the field, including: Mr. Alok Bhowmick, Managing Director, B&S Engineering Consultants Dr. Yogendra Singh, Professor & Former Head, Earthquake Engineering, IIT Roorkee Dr. Essam Abdou, Principal & Head of Bridges Engineering, DAR AL Handash, Egypt Mr. V. Karthik, Engineering Manager - Bridge, Jacobs …and many other esteemed professionals whose contributions made the symposium a resounding success.
