BIOSPECTRUM - the first International Conference on Biotechnology and Biosciences, was held at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata campus on 25th and 26th August, 2017. We received 200 submissions, including full research papers and posters from leading Institutions like:- - Tokyo University of Science, Japan - Research Institute of Biotechnology & Medical Converged Science, Dongguk University- Korea - DRDO - Haldwani  - Jawahar Lal University, Delhi - IIT Delhi - IIT Bombay - IIT Kharagpur - IIT (BHU) - IIT Roorkee - IIT Guwahati - IIT Bhubneswar - CSIR - IICT - CSIR - NEIST - CSIR - National Botanical Research Institute - CSIR - Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute - NIT, Karnataka - ICAR - Indian Institute of Wheat & Barley Research, Karnal - Calcutta University - Jadavpur University - many other prominent Institutions and Universities in this context. We received support from West Bengal Biodiversity Board and West Bengal Department of Biotechnology. These are Bluetooth Controlled Robots developed by the students of UEM Jaipur...... The most interesting part of this whole lot is that, these are done by the 1st year students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur in their Research Laboratory. We really appreciate the efforts of UEM students for achieving such outputs within one and a half month of joining their University, and giving their day and night to the Research Lab and learning Engineering skills. CONGRATULATIONS to Niladitya Dhali, 3rd year student of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur and Sabyasachi Roy and Raghav Bhutra, 2017 passout batch students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, for having been been selected as official international volunteers of FIFA Under 17 World Cup, being held in India, for the Kolkata location. There were a total of 20,000 applicants for Kolkata venue, and 80 selections were done through GD and interview, and 3 of those selections are these 3 stars of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. Mukul Sharma, 2017 passout batch student of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur for getting job offer from Larsen & Toubro (L&T)........ Mukul got campus placement at Bhansali Cables & Conductors, worked there for almost one year, and now he is shifting to L&T. BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you Mukul.
