The UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter orchestrated a highly informative Distinguished Speaker Program on "Evolution of Large Language Models: The Good, The Bad, and The Opportunities" featuring Dr. Tanmoy Chakraborty, Associate Professor at IIT Delhi. - Date: 28-03-2024 - Time: 03:30 PM - Venue: Basement Seminar Hall The event commenced with a warm welcome of Dr. Tanmoy Chakraborty by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar of UEM Jaipur. Further honors were extended by Prof. (Dr.) G. Uma Devi and Prof. Sagarika Ghosh from the Faculty of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. With over 185 students in attendance, Dr. Chakraborty's presentation provided a comprehensive understanding of large language models, delving into their positive and negative aspects while exploring potential opportunities they offer. The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Piyush Kumar Rai, a student from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, extending gratitude to Dr. Tanmoy Chakraborty and all attendees for their active participation and valuable contributions throughout the session. The UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter successfully organized a Distinguished Speaker Program on the "Application of AI for Sustainable Development in Developing Countries." Renowned expert Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Misra, Senior Scientist from Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), Halden, Norway, enlightened over 151 students on the pivotal role of AI in fostering sustainability. Date: 22-03-2024 Time: 04:00 - 5:30 PM Venue: First Floor Seminar Hall He shared valuable insights explore how Artificial Intelligence can be leveraged for sustainable development initiatives in developing countries, offering a unique perspective on technological solutions for pressing global challenges. The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Prof. (Dr.) G. Uma Devi from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, expressed gratitude to Dr. Sanjay Misra and all attendees for their active participation and valuable contributions.
