Dr. Chinmay Chakraborty (General Chair, BIT, Mesra) opened the session online, followed by remarks from Prof. (Dr.) Satyajit Chakrabarti (Pro-Vice Chancellor) and Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee (Vice Chancellor). Key figures like Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed (MNIT), Mr. Subham Chatterji (SAS India), Prof. (Dr.) Soumya Kanti Ghosh (IIT Kharagpur), Mr. Sunil David (T-Hub), Mr. Gaurav Malik (Successive Technologies), and Ms. Kalyani Rao (IELTA India) also addressed the audience. Toast Fiesta, an interactive event for first-year B.Tech students, was conducted today by UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club at E-Cell. The event aimed to engage students through various activities and foster a collaborative environment with the involvement of second-year members. The event featured prepared speech delivered by Toastmaster Sagnik, which was evaluated by the audience, promoting a culture of constructive feedback and improvement. In addition to the speech, first-year students participated in several interactive activities. These included "Picture Puzzle" conducted by Toastmaster Toastmaster Abhishek, an Open Mic Session conducted by Toastmaster Sagnik and Toastmaster Radhika where students spoke on topics of their choice, and "Guess the Quote" that involved active participation from the audience. To incentivize participation and add an element of excitement, goodies were awarded to the winners of the activities. The positive feedback from participants highlighted the event's success and set a precedent for future activities. FUNOTSAV: Thodi Masti, Thoda Maja Induction Event by The Speech Society 2.0 The event kicked off with an introduction to The Speech Society (TSS). Following this, we dived into a series of engaging games, starting with a Slido quiz and a general knowledge quiz. Next, TSS showcased a short video highlighting the past TSS event, Aarambh, featuring Kuldeep Singhania. Four final-year students from the ECE department at IEM Kolkata, Abhigyan Mondal, Mrinmoy Mondal, Saikat Das, and Debjit Roy, recently completed a one-month internship at University of Engineering & Management (UEM) Jaipur, where they contributed to ongoing projects. As part of their internship, they worked on developing a smart shoe for school children, designed to track their location and activity for enhanced safety, and on creating a virtual reality (VR) classroom, enabling interactive virtual environments for students and teachers.
