We are organizing this Self-Defence Training workshop today, Sunday, 18th August, 2024 staying from 6:30 PM in the Ground Floor of Academic Block-1, for our girl students, female faculty members and all interested ladies around, by Mr. Martial Vout, Swiss Security Advisor, Bodyguard and Self-Defence Instructor. After training in the US, France and Switzerland, his past work experience includes the protection of varied CEOs, Middle East personalities and actors in Switzerland and other European countries. Besides his different assignments with VIPs, besides his own training and teaching in full-contact and combat shooting, he developed his own method of self-defence and gives classes and workshops to teach women and men about their inner strength. His various books publications include: April 2002: Plus jamais victimes (ed. Michel Lafon, Paris) with Isabelle Alonso, French feminist and writer and Isabelle Mergault, French actress and director. November 2014: I can defend myself (ed. Life Positive, Delhi / Zen Publications, Mumbai) with a foreword from Kiran Bedi, former Governor of Puducherry. March 2019: Autodéfense instinctive (ed. Favre, Lausanne) with a foreword and pictures from Swiss singer Sonia Grimm. Day 2: College to Corporate Program for All Final Year Students On the second day of the "College to Corporate" program, Mr. Rajeev Agarwala led the morning session, engaging all final-year students in a discussion about the transition from college to corporate life. The session covered various aspects of both college and corporate environments, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that students may face as they move into the professional world. In the afternoon, Mr. Agarwala held an interactive session with members of the startup teams. He discussed the challenges faced during the startup journey, addressing numerous questions from the students about entrepreneurship and startup dynamics. At the end of the day, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar of UEM Jaipur, felicitated Mr. Agarwala for his valuable contribution to the program. Cybersecurity Bootcamp by HackSec Club, Department of Computer Applications, UEM Jaipur The Cyber Security Bootcamp marked a significant milestone as the first event organized by the newly-formed HackSec Club at UEM Jaipur. Established with the goal of fostering a community of cybersecurity enthusiasts. The event began with a warm welcome from our students. The Honourable Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of cybersecurity and blockchain, and presented a memento to keynote speaker Mr. Rudra Pratap Singh from Techonquer Private Limited, a cybersecurity services provider and ed-tech start-up. Mr. Singh led sessions on cybersecurity fundamentals, bug bounty, OSINT, and malware development, while also raising awareness about data breaches and cybercrime. The event concluded with remarks from the Head of Department, Prof. Sayak Pramanik, and Prof. Gaurav Ganguly, stressing vigilance in cybersecurity. The renowned Sports Physiotherapist, Dr. Mayank Pushkar, ex-Physiotherapist of Indian Blind Cricket team visited UEM JAIPUR, and delivered an outstanding seminar on advanced physiotherapy techniques, to our BPT (Physiotherapy) students of the University. He has worked with many national and international sports teams, apart from the Indian Blind Cricket Team. He shared his expertise in Kinesiology Taping, Cupping & Hijama, and Functional Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (F-IASTM) extensively during the seminar to my students, who were largely enriched. #physiotherapy #UEMJaipur #TopRankedUniversity #uem
