The University of Engineering and Management conducted its Orientation Program for the I Year Entry Batch of 2024 on July 18, 2024, marking the commencement of the Academic Session 2024-25. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the onset of a new educational journey for the incoming students.
The program started with the felicitation of distinguished guests, including Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Gupta, Ombudsman of UEM Jaipur, and Dr. Avtar Doi, Director and Founder of Re-Life Hospital, honored by Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice Chancellor, UEM Jaipur, and Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur. The Orientation Program was attended by Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty Members, parents, and the newly enrolled students for the academic session 2024-25.
Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice Chancellor, UEM Jaipur, in his inaugural address, welcomed the students and outlined the vision and mission of the university. He shared insightful anecdotes to inspire the students about their roles and responsibilities during their academic journey. He also expressed the university’s commitment to nurturing the students’ personalities and guiding them through their academic pursuits.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur emphasized the importance of hard work in achieving success, urging the students to strive for excellence in their academic endeavors. The event continued with addresses from guest speakers, Deans, and Heads of Departments, who provided historical perspectives and insights into the growth of the university.
The highlight of the program was when senior students shared their academic experiences and highlighted the extensive support they received from the university’s placement cell. This interaction provided valuable insights and encouragement to the newcomers.
The Orientation Program concluded with group photographs, capturing the beginning of a new chapter for the students and fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among them. The entire Program was well organised in the guidance of Dr Rahul Sharma, I Year Coordinator and HOD, Department of Mathematics and master of ceremonies were Prof. Shivani Saini and Prof. Sanchari Basak.
