The UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter, in collaboration with Codesta, IIC, and IQAC, hosted a workshop titled “Git & GitHub Workshop: Mastering Version Control” on August 23rd, 27th, and 31st, 2024. The workshop was led by Piyush Kumar Rai, a 3rd-year CSE student and Vice Chair of the UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter.
The workshop covered:
– Basics of Git: Tracking changes and managing project history.
– Practical exercises: Cloning repositories, adding files, and pushing updates.
– GitHub as a platform: Creating branches, resolving conflicts, and merging code.
Students were actively engaged in the sessions, participating in Q&A and hands-on activities. The workshop concluded with a felicitation ceremony where Piyush Kumar Rai was honored by the Associate Dean of Engineering and HOD of CSE, Prof. Dr. G Uma Devi, along with faculty coordinators Prof. Sagarika Ghosh and Prof. Sourav Kumar. The event aimed to equip students with invaluable skills for their academic and professional journeys.
