Department of English in association with Dhanika(Women Cell) & The Speech Society is celebrating International Women’s Day on the 1st and 2nd March, 2023. Department of English is pleased to announce a Poetry Recitation Competition and Speech Competition on the theme “Women as Foundation of Value-Based Society. The event will be marked by the presence of Award Winning Poets and Authors.

​Women have always been an integral part of our society, and this competition aims to celebrate their contributions and recognize their impact. We encourage all students to participate in the event and showcase their talents in poetry recitation and public speaking.
​The event will provide an excellent platform for you to express your thoughts and ideas on the theme and demonstrate your creative skills. You can choose to recite a poem or deliver a speech that highlights the role of women in shaping a value-based society.
​The winners of the competition will be rewarded, and all participants will receive certificates of participation. We believe that this event will be a great learning experience for all of us and help us appreciate the contributions of women in our lives.

University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur proudly shares that Prof. Sougata Banerjee, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, had the honour of representing the university at the prestigious MIDAS Symposium 2025, held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at the EROS Hotel, New Delhi.
University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur proudly shares that Prof. Sougata Banerjee, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, had the honour of representing the university at the prestigious MIDAS Symposium 2025, held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at the EROS Hotel, New Delhi. Themed “Spanning Innovations in Design of Bridges,” the symposium brought together leading minds from around the globe to delve into transformative topics in structural and bridge engineering, including engineering marvels and the integration of AI in structural analysis. The event featured insightful sessions from some of the most respected experts in the field, including: Mr. Alok Bhowmick, Managing Director, B&S Engineering Consultants Dr. Yogendra Singh, Professor & Former Head, Earthquake Engineering, IIT Roorkee Dr. Essam Abdou, Principal & Head of Bridges Engineering, DAR AL Handash, Egypt Mr. V. Karthik, Engineering Manager - Bridge, Jacobs …and many other esteemed professionals whose contributions made the symposium a resounding success. Prof. Banerjee, on behalf of UEM Jaipur, extends heartfelt gratitude to MIDAS for organizing this enriching event.
