Professors of IEM-UEM group went to IIT Kharagpur to represent our #educational_group under the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) program of IIT Kharagpur. Govt. of India approved a new program titled Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) in Higher Education aimed at tapping the #talent pool of scientists and entrepreneurs, internationally to encourage their engagement with the institutes of Higher Education in India so as to augment the country’s existing academic resources, accelerate the pace of quality reform, and elevate India’s scientific and technological capacity to global excellence. www.uem.edu.in [gallery columns="2" ids="3162,3163"]

Newton Bhaba Fellow, Ms. Isabel Glover, Newcastle University, UK addressed & interacted with the students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata on 27th October, 2016. A special workshop on "Robotics and Advanced Sensors" was conducted from 1st October to 3rd October, 2016 for the students of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata. More than 550 participants attended the #workshop. The workshop was conducted by two #alumni_members of the IEM-UEM group - Rahul Sharma and Rohit Sarkar. They are having their own company of Robotics namely Distronix. They also have their office at the UEM Kolkata incubation centre at the University premises. Mr. Parthajit Dholey, alumni member of the IEM-UEM group and co-founder of HACKCIEUX, a startup by 2016 pass out IEM-UEM group students conducted special workshop on Ethical Hacking for the students of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata on 26th September, 2016. #Demonetization is a real hot topic of discussion among each and every people in India.
