Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar and Provost, UEM Jaipur was a panelist in the Panel Discussion - The Future of Indian Higher Education: Issues of Autonomy, Flexibility, Quality, Ranking and Accreditation along with very eminent other speakers.

There were 10+ Panels, 500+ Delegates from Partner Institutions, 50+ Speakers from Partner Industries and 10+ industry sessions during the event.

During this event, he chaired two sessions and had the opportunity to engage with various industry experts and professors from both India and abroad. These interactions provided a platform for discussing the latest technologies and ongoing research and developments.

October 8, 2024, Udaipuria – The University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, in collaboration with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and the National Service Scheme (NSS), conducted a Digital Literacy and Career Counseling Program at Government Senior Secondary School, Udaipuria. The program focused on promoting digital literacy among students and guiding them on career paths in today's evolving digital landscape.

Representing UEM Jaipur, Dr. Mukesh Yadav, Associate Dean of Academics and Foreign Relations, Dr. B. S. Yadav, Director of Physical Education and Program Officer of NSS, Prof. Dipta Mukherjee, PROCTOR and Coordinator of UBA, Prof. Pravesh Bansal, Prof. Ashutosh Gautam, Mr. Mahesh Jat, and Mr. Jay Rawat attended and hosted the event. The program was attended by the students of classes 11th and 12th, who actively participated in discussions on the significance of digital literacy in shaping their future careers.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Pravesh Bansal emphasized the importance of equipping students with essential digital skills to thrive in the modern world. He also highlighted UEM Jaipur's commitment to extending support to underprivileged and marginalized students by offering regular basic computer courses to enhance their digital competency.

This initiative aligns with UEM Jaipur's broader goal of contributing to the nation's educational development by empowering students from rural and marginalized communities. Through such programs, UEM Jaipur aims to ensure that all students, regardless of their backgrounds, have access to quality education and digital resources.

The University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, marked a significant day for research and academic innovation as faculty members received Grant-in-Aid project cheques under the university’s research support initiative. The distribution ceremony took place at the university’s campus, with Prof. (Dr) Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar distributing the cheques to the faculty members .

The Grant-in-Aid program, which seeks to bolster research and development across various departments, awarded funds to faculty members for their pioneering research proposals. The initiative encourages interdisciplinary research and aims to drive impactful outcomes in engineering, technology, and management domains.

Among the recipients were faculty members from the departments of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physiotherapy and Management. Their proposed projects span a diverse range of subjects, including artificial intelligence, sustainable energy solutions, smart city technologies, and business process optimization.

The UEM Jaipur's Grant-in-Aid program is part of its long-term strategy to foster a culture of research, positioning the institution as a leader in higher education and technological advancements in India.

The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) at UEM Jaipur proudly hosted a Model United Nations (MUN), where students participated as delegates representing different countries under the United Nations framework. The students acted as delegates and debated the international issues based on a set agenda, enhancing their understanding of global diplomacy and policy-making.

Two key sessions were held:

UN General Assembly: Focused on global challenges like peace, security, and climate change.

Lok Sabha: Addressed domestic concerns in line with India’s national legislation.

This event offered participants a valuable platform for developing skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and leadership, fostering real-world understanding of global and national governance.
