Dr. Gaurav Shrivastava was bestowed with the prestigious title of Sessional Chairperson for the scientific session on “Geriatric Sports Injuries & Rehabilitation.” The conference theme, “Assisting Technology: Empowering Aging,” served as a powerful platform for discussing technological advancements, innovative rehabilitation approaches, and evidence-based geriatric care. His leadership in facilitating insightful discussions with national and international experts added immense value to the event. Students of the BPT Department, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, continued their advanced clinical training on Day 2 of the Khelo India University Games 2025 under the expert supervision of Dr. Imran Khan, State Physiotherapy Official. Throughout the event, students engaged in hands-on sports physiotherapy practices including: On-field injury management Kinesio taping and manual therapy Athlete screening and assessment Sideline rehabilitation and recovery support This immersive exposure provided: Real-time insight into sports-specific injuries Practical application of mobilization and taping techniques in high-intensity match scenarios Direct interaction with national-level athletes, enhancing decision-making and treatment precision By observing immediate treatment outcomes and responding to live match demands, our students strengthened their clinical confidence, sports rehabilitation skills, and understanding of evidence-based athlete care. This valuable experiential learning, made possible through the leadership and guidance of Dr. Imran Khan, demonstrates UEM Jaipur’s commitment to preparing highly competent physiotherapy professionals capable of delivering excellence in competitive sports environments. This national-level initiative was organized simultaneously across eight cities, with the collective goal of strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem and delivering structured Training of Trainers for Innovation Ambassadors. At the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, we proudly concluded the 3rd Phase of the UEM Technical Bonanza, marking a significant milestone as the event expanded beyond Rajasthan to Patna and Ranchi. This phase witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 80 schools across Bihar and Jharkhand, further strengthening our commitment to promoting knowledge, innovation, and healthy competition among young learners. The first two phases, held across six locations in Rajasthan—Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur City, UEM Jaipur Campus, Srimadhopur, and Khatushyamji—saw similar spirited engagement. Across every venue, students participated in six diverse competitions: Nirmana (Science Model Competition), Pythagoras Star & Pythagoras Pro (Maths Quiz), Tech Art (Technical Drawing), Curiosity (General Quiz), and Bio-Brilliance (Biology Quiz). Prizes were distributed venue-wise for each event, along with Champion School and Runner-up School recognitions. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur has once again set a remarkable benchmark by becoming the first university in Rajasthan and among the first universities in India to commence academic classes for the 2026 admission batch at full strength. The new batch of students officially began their academic journey on 15th July 2026. The students received a warm welcome from UEM Jaipur's faculty members, distinguished government officials, and esteemed industry leaders, reflecting the university's strong commitment to academia-industry collaboration. Adding a unique technological touch to the induction, "Veda", the humanoid robot developed by UEM Jaipur students, along with other robots created at the university, greeted the freshers and assisted them in locating their classrooms and navigating the campus. University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur successfully conducted the Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting for the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering on 6th July 2026 at the UEM Jaipur campus, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and industry-aligned education. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Prashant Ranjan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, who welcomed the distinguished Board members and faculty participants. The primary objective was to review and further strengthen the department's curriculum in line with emerging technologies, evolving industry requirements, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles. The University was privileged to receive valuable insights from eminent external academic experts: Prof. (Dr.) Tarun Varma, MNIT Jaipur Prof. (Dr.) Amit Mahesh Joshi, MNIT Jaipur Following comprehensive deliberations, the Board approved the proposed curriculum and appreciated the Department's academic framework for its strong alignment with current industry expectations, technological advancements, and future-ready learning outcomes. The expert members acknowledged that the curriculum is well designed to equip students with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to excel in the rapidly evolving field of Electronics & Communication Engineering.
