This week, UEM Jaipur proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements of its students: Robowar Champions: Yogesh Taparia, Sumit Lamba, and Soham Wadekar secured the 1st prize in Robowar (a battle of self-designed robots) at IIT Ropar. Coding Excellence: Vishnu Singh and Balram Kulhari won the 3rd prize at the Code for Bharat Hackathon, hosted at Microsoft Office, Gurgaon. Multiple Victories Across India: Several UEM Jaipur students, including Tejas Kharkar, Ashish Kumar Jha, Manmohan Singh, Himanshu Jangid, Mayank Sharma, Rajput Yashu, Divyansh Sachdev, and Mohit Raj, achieved significant wins in competitions held at NIT Srinagar, SLIET Punjab, RGIPT UP, and JECRC Jaipur. Campus Placement Success: The university proudly celebrates the placement of its final-year students at Metacube Software as IT Developers, with an impressive starting salary of ₹6.5 LPA. The recruited students include Soumen Pal, Anushree Agarwala, Avinash Kumar Mehta, Aman Sharma, Sourabh Chhipa, Debabrata Maity, Anurag Kumar, Swayam Khatter, Shanu Aaryan, and Gopendu Manna. Leadership in Event Management: Our students successfully volunteered in organizing a Teachers’ Award Program for school educators, further demonstrating their leadership and organizational skills. Students of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR have won all 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions at both Robo Soccer and Robo War events at NIT Srinagar, and also the 2nd position at Innovations event and the 1st and 2nd positions at Remote Controlled Car there. Dr. Vishwajeet Khan, Associate Professor, Civil Engineering has received a Certificate of Appreciation for reviewing research papers of prestigious Indian Geotechnical Conference 2024 (IGC 2024) . Every year in December, IGC conference has organised across the India under the supervision of Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS) New Delhi, a 75-year-old organisation. 2024’s IGC conference was organised by MIT, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. In addition, his Two Research Articles are accepted in IGC 2024 for publication in Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering, Springer (Scopus Indexed) . The Research Articles are as follows: 1. Hydraulic conductivity of geosynthetic clay liner subjected to hydration solutions and wet-dry cycles. 2. There was a technical session on Role Of Indoor Environment Quality In Green Health Care. Topics covered: 1. Exposure to the fine fraction of particulate matter (PM2.5), has been estimated to cause millions of deaths worldwide each year with epidemiological evidence showing it elevates the risk of acute and chronic cardiovascular and respiratory disease. 2. PM2.5 from different sources varies in toxicity due to difference in particle size distributions and chemical composition. University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur Toastmasters Club successfully organized Speech Marathon in collaboration with Jaipur Toastmasters Club (JTC) on 25th January 2025. Our club mentors TM Lokendra and TM Kamlesh along with 13 other Toastmasters from Jaipur Toastmasters Club joined the meeting. We also hosted Mr. Rahul Doon, a guest and visitor to our club. The theme of the meeting was "Pahad hain, Chad Jao". There were 5 prepared speeches by TM Neeraj (JTC), TM Stuti (UEMJ), TM Krishnanshu (JTC), TM Radhika (UEMJ) TM Rohit (JTC) This was followed by 5 evaluation speeches delivered by TM Krishna(JTC), TM Sagnik(UEMJ), TM Palak(JTC), TM Abhishek(UEMJ) TM Kamlesh(JTC). There were the Aux Role Players: Timer TM Suman(UEMJ) Ah-counter TM Sanchari(UEMJ) Grammarian TM Fahim(JTC) Hark Master TM Shibagni(UEMJ). It was indeed a program full of energy and enthusiasm among the performers and the audience. The members exercised public speaking and collaborative learning in an unique way. The best performers were elected through voting among the members. The members of UEM Jaipur Toastmasters Club bagged 3 awards within the 4 categories.
