2nd year student Riddhi Dutta of the University if Engineering & Management (UEM) Kolkata bagged first prize in the event "WELCOME To The Machine", a coding competition held at techfest organised by The Department of Physics, St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, annual departmental fest "SPECTRUM 2017" on March 20, 2017.

Dr. Bhupesh Goyal, the Head of Physiotherapy courses of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur was awarded with "Academic Excellence award" in the National Congress of Physiotherapy. University of Engineering & Management (UEM) is proud to share the post of Ms. Sumedha Bhattacharyya, alumni member of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, who has posted about her travel with Prof. Egil Bakka (the legendary professor of Norwegian University of Science & Technology). Sumedha got jobs in Infosys and Cognizant. But afterwards she received the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship to study in 6 different countries of Europe, and she opted for that. She has described her post as:- "Traveling the Heritage ? With Prof. Egil Bakka himself , the panel of Intangible Cultural Heritage."

Basanta Utsav was celebrated by IEM and UEM students on 11th March 2017.

1st International Conference on Electronics, Materials Engineering and Nano-Technology (IEEE-IEMENTech 2017) will be organized by Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, at Science City, Kolkata, West Bengal during April 28-29, 2017. The scientific deliberations in the form of invited talks and contributory papers will cover diversified topics on Electronics, Materials Engineering, Nano Science and Technology. Contributory papers presented in the technical sessions will be published in the IEEE Xplore.
