On 7th September 2025, the students of Atrang: The Cultural Club of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, had the remarkable opportunity to participate in the Jaipur chapter of Mood Indigo Multicity, hosted at the vibrant VGU campus. Mood Indigo, IIT Bombay’s annual cultural extravaganza, stands as Asia’s largest celebration of art, music, theatre, and dance, and the Jaipur edition gave our students the platform to showcase their creativity and competitive spirit. Our students participated across a wide spectrum of events—Mantra (group singing), MI Idol (solo singing), Aagaaz (street play), Desi Beats (dance), and MI: The Best (multi-skill showcase). Each performance reflected their talent, passion, and determination. Among these, a moment of immense pride came when UEM Jaipur secured third place in Mantra, earning a ticket to perform on the grand final stage at IIT Bombay. This achievement is not only a milestone but also an inspiration, as our students prepare to represent UEM Jaipur on one of the country’s most prestigious cultural platforms. More than a competition, the event was an experience of learning, growth, and creative exchange—every performance witnessed, every interaction made, and every applause received added to their journey of excellence. We are thrilled to announce that the Department of Physiotherapy, UEM Jaipur, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhagwan Mahaveer Vikalang Seva Samiti (BMVSS), widely known for its work in providing prosthetic and orthotic services, including the revolutionary Jaipur Foot. Founded in 1975, BMVSS is a renowned non-profit organization with a mission to empower people with disabilities by offering free, high-quality prosthetic services. The Jaipur Foot, known for its affordability, durability, and functionality, has transformed the lives of millions across the globe. This partnership with UEM Jaipur will pave the way for: Clinical Exposure & Training: Providing hands-on experience to our physiotherapy students in prosthetics and orthotics. Joint Research & Workshops: Collaborating on rehabilitation studies and providing continuous learning opportunities for students and professionals. The conclave brought together some of the most respected minds in the education sector to celebrate academic excellence and discuss the evolving landscape of learning. Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice Chancellor, UEM Jaipur, was invited to speak on the critical topic of “The Use of New Technology in Imparting Education,” where he shared valuable insights into the integration of innovation and pedagogy at IEM-UEM Group institutions.
