The event was well planned for the students to gain magnificent ideas in civil engineering with the help of BIM (Building Information Modeling). BIM is the ultimate technology for engineers at the present. Thus, it is a game changer in the field of design and planning.

The students also gained venture ideas using Augmented Reality (AR) technology with BIM. Overall it was a great learning and outcome rich event.

University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur proudly shares that Prof. Sougata Banerjee, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, had the honour of representing the university at the prestigious MIDAS Symposium 2025, held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at the EROS Hotel, New Delhi. Themed “Spanning Innovations in Design of Bridges,” the symposium brought together leading minds from around the globe to delve into transformative topics in structural and bridge engineering, including engineering marvels and the integration of AI in structural analysis. The event featured insightful sessions from some of the most respected experts in the field, including: Mr. Alok Bhowmick, Managing Director, B&S Engineering Consultants Dr. Yogendra Singh, Professor & Former Head, Earthquake Engineering, IIT Roorkee Dr. Essam Abdou, Principal & Head of Bridges Engineering, DAR AL Handash, Egypt Mr. V.
