“What they don’t teach you in the lab” was the theme of the annual topical meeting of Optica, which was held in Denver USA during 21-25 January this year.
Dr. Chandra Prakash from the ECE department of UEM Jaipur attended this annual topical meeting with the financial support from the Optica Foundation. The event was attended by 78 other participants from 30 different countries.
Bringing together the scientific advances in the field of optics and photonics with the corporate world’s culture, language, and demands, the meeting’s goal was to bridge the training and research gap in academia and industry by focusing on both the personal and professional skills needed by scholars and early carrier researchers.
