This Augmented Reality application designed by the students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur is a virtual measuring tape, which can measure and show the length and breadth of an object, measure the distance between two objects. It can be used in construction sites.
The tape is not a physical object but is virtually augmented to the real world through the mobile application developed by the students.
The students are Ayush Pallab Gupta and
Kunal Saha, both 1st year B. Tech CSE students of UEM Jaipur, and they have developed this application under Sreyaskam Ghoshal, 2nd year, B.Tech CSE student of UEM Jaipur, who is now mentoring his 1st year juniors to build augmented reality and virtual reality applications in the AR-VR laboratory of the University.
University of Engineering & Management, Kolkata in association with Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, has successfully organized The 7th IEEE Annual Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference (IEEE UEMCON 2016) at Columbia University, New York, USA from 20th to 22nd October, 2016
