Punjab Farmers Visit UEM Jaipur’s SICF Under Project Nirmal: Bridging Lab and Land
The Centre for Sustainable Innovations for Clean Future (SICF), University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, welcomed a delegation of progressive farmers from Bhuttiwala, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, the field site of our ongoing IPBCS (Project Nirmal) initiative. The delegation included the host farmer supporting our active demonstration plots and the Head of the Organic Farming Association, Punjab, bringing together scientific research and hands-on farming experience in one room. Led by Dr. Mandeep Singh (The AlgaeMan), our SICF student interns and volunteers took the visitors through our laboratory and the sustainable agri-technologies we are developing: 🔹 Closed-loop microalgae cultivation🔹 Engineered torrefied biochar🔹 Responsible nutrient management Together, these solutions aim to cut groundwater nitrate contamination, improve soil health and support eco-friendly farming. The learning went both ways. The farmers shared their experience in organic farming, regenerative indigo cultivation and chemical-free food production, giving our students a first-hand look at the real challenges farmers face in the field. For our young researchers, it was a valuable chance to connect what they study in the classroom and build in the lab with grassroots agricultural wisdom. At UEM Jaipur, we are committed to interdisciplinary research, experiential learning, environmental sustainability and meaningful community engagement. UEM Jaipur’s Dr. Anjali Yadav Serves as Chief Guest & Judge at Science Exhibition, Chomu
Dr. Anjali Yadav, Associate Professor, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, represented our university as the Chief Guest and Judge at the Science Exhibition organised by PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Chomu, on 26th September 2026. Around 100–120 students took part, presenting creative working models that showed their scientific knowledge, curiosity and innovative thinking. Held in the spirit of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, the exhibition brought science and national integration together, celebrating unity in diversity alongside technological progress. As Judge, Dr. Anjali Yadav evaluated the students’ projects, encouraged the young participants, and inspired them to see science as a powerful tool for solving real-world problems. At UEM Jaipur, we believe in reaching beyond our campus. Through academic outreach and community engagement, we aim to spark curiosity in young minds and nurture the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. UEM Jaipur Hosts Workshop on “How to Think Like an Entrepreneur: From Idea to Action”
The Nexora Catalyst Club, School of Management, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, organised an engaging workshop on “How to Think Like an Entrepreneur: From Idea to Action” on 29th September 2026. 70+ students from diverse academic streams came together to explore what it takes to build an entrepreneurial mindset: spotting opportunities, thinking creatively, and turning bold ideas into real-world ventures. We were delighted to welcome Er. Rohit Sharma and Er. Yatharth Sharma, Directors & Co-Founders of Sunmaze Energy Solutions LLP, Jaipur, as our resource persons. Sharing lessons from their own entrepreneurial journeys, they spoke about innovation, strategic thinking, execution, and why taking that first step matters most. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Rhythm Mukherjee, Coordinator, Nexora Catalyst Club, along with Prof. Risha Sharma and Prof. Rishita Das, Assistant Professors, School of Management, UEM Jaipur.
